😒 Oh boy... not another floorplan with the DJ in the corner. 🙄
You would probably think it was pretty weird if you went to a concert and the band played behind you in the nosebleed seats while you stared at an empty stage.
So why do we still see floorplans with the DJs in the corner next to Grandma?
Cue Grandma asking us to turn it down so low that nobody can hear anything in 3... 2... 1... 👵🏻
If a dancefloor exists at your wedding or event, you didn't hire them to provide background music. We want you to be rock stars on the dancefloor just as much as you do. Your DJ is your ally, but there are some things that we need to do our best work.
Set your party up for success, and be sure to communicate with everyone involved to ensure that you have a plan that works for everyone and makes everyone look good—and, most importantly, you.

🌴☀️ This summer weather has us reminicing over some favorite past summer weddings!
Seth and Zach were married at the Sharksmouth Estate, a magnificent histotical "cottage" (just like some of the Newport Mansions were considered "cottages' by thier owners 😉 ), with a beautiful lawn looking out over the rocky coast of Manchester-by-the-Sea. A beautful setting for a beautiful wedding!

So when doing a grand entrance at a wedding who do you include?
This is always a fun part of the night but it can be overdone, and underdone.
So what's the right balance?
Normally I suggest that we do Parents>Wedding Party>Maid/Matron/Person/Man of Honor & Best Man/Woman/Person and then the newlyweds.
Often our clients will request that there are inividual songs for each couple. This is a fun way to bring eveyone in and help to start the party. Make sure your DJ knows hopw to do this well, there is a little biut more than playing the song from the start, your DJ should edit or time the track to endure that it hits at the part that is the most well known or highest energy.
Larger wedding parties may be better off not personalizing songs. For this situation we recommend a song for the parents, one for the bulk of the wedding party, one for the couple of honor and then then newlyweds.
Remember highe energy is the goal here! A good party vibe on the grand enetrance usually leads to... well a good party!
