Preparing carbon fiber-reinforced witness panels for quality control testing (per ASTM D3039 and/or ASTM D7565).

Typically, two samples are made at the start of
an 8-hour shift and two more samples are made near the end of the 8-hour shift.

It is best to prepare these samples at the start of a shift using a fresh batch of epoxy and fabric.

Feeler gauges/shims are used to control the thickness of the samples.

The shims are placed along either side of the sample and then a rolling pin is used to flatten the samples.

Inspecting an EPDM roof is important for identifying and addressing any issues before they become major problems.

👉 Examine the surface for any visible damage, such as punctures, cuts, or tears.

👉 Look for signs of ponding water, which can lead to deterioration over time.

👉 Check for debris, dirt, or vegetation growth that should be cleared.
Seams and Flashings:
👉 Inspect seams for signs of separation, peeling, or adhesive failure.

👉 Check flashings, including those around vents, chimneys, and edges, for any issues.
Edge Details:

👉 Ensure that the edge terminations are secure and not pulling away.

👉 Look for any signs of edge metal corrosion or damage.

👉 Inspect any roof penetrations, like pipes and HVAC units, for signs of damage or loose seals.

👉 Check for proper sealant and flashing around penetrations.

👉 Ensure that the EPDM membrane is securely fastened at the roof's perimeter.

🫶 Regular inspections and maintenance can help extend the lifespan of your EPDM roof.

We started by replacing the roof with a brand new spray foam and gravel roof.

Then we gave the interior walls and ceiling a facelift by painting the space white.

Now, we’re waiting on drawings and designs to bring the client’s vision to reality.

We were contacted by a rep from another company.

He is unfamiliar with spray foam roofing systems and was looking for input on a hail damaged roof.

One of the benefits of SPF roofs is its’ repairability.

Based on the info provided, this one seems like a pretty simply fix.

Apparently, we don’t see eye-to-eye.

It’s not a game to us Titan Applicators LLC.

Especially when it comes to taking care of the client.

Our mantra: “Creating raving-fan-clients through superior customer service, quality installlations, and continuous reliability.”
