Tutor Ms. Carol dropped in after the class finished SBAC test prep as a surprise and read Ms. McHale’s 5th grade class “Loud Emily” which tied in to previous reading about light houses and ships and gales. Ms. Carol had to yell whatever Loud Emily said in the story! Added to the fun was that Ms. McHale’s name is also Emily. After the reading, Ms. McHale lead a discussion on the story’s theme and message which is what the class has been learning for the past month.
