🎉 Out with the old, making way for the new! 🎉

This project has truly been a labor of love, and after the past few days, our vision is becoming a reality.

A heartfelt thank you to the team at BHE GT&S for their incredible generosity in donating the removal and disposal of our old playground equipment. Over the course of two days, their crew worked tirelessly to remove all of the equipment, level the area, and ensure everything was properly disposed of. Without their support, this project would not have been possible.

Take a look at the before-and-after photos! What is now a blank canvas will soon be transformed into a brand new Simpson playground. It will be safe, developmentally appropriate, and designed to provide our students and community with endless opportunities for play, learning, and enjoyment.

Stay tuned for updates throughout the summer as this exciting transformation continues. We cannot wait for our students to see and experience the playground they deserve! ❤️🖤

Congratulations to our 5th Grade Simpson Scholars who celebrated their successful completion of elementary school today.

Our BMS-Bound students enjoyed making memories at The Bridgeport City Park this morning, followed by a 5th Grade graduation ceremony at Bridgeport High School. They were also recognized for their completion of the DARE program, facilitated by Officer Ash.

HUGE Simpson Shout Out to our families, community members, teachers, and administrators (Simpson and Bridgeport High School) for making this day such a tremendous success!

Remember, Once a Little Indian, ALWAYS a Little Indian! ♥️🖤

Simpson Elementary was proud and honored to welcome back the graduating class of 2026 from Bridgeport High School, our former Little Indians.

This fabulous group took part in their senior walk through the hallways and even stopped for a photo opportunity in the new multipurpose room. Several former patrol members also posed with a crosswalk flag and fluorescent patrol belt.

They were greeted with cheers as students lined the halls to give high-fives and fist bumps to celebrate the seniors.

Congratulations to the graduating class of 2026! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see all that the future holds for each of you. 🎓 ❤️🖤 🎓

Simpson Elementary School was the proud recipient of a $25,000 grant from The Antero Foundation to help fund our playground overhaul project. Funds were received in mid-September, and the new playground project was officially approved to move forward by the Harrison County Board of Education on February 5, 2026.

On May 19, 2026, Stephanie Goff, Antero Resources Public Affairs Coordinator; Stephanie Hayhurst-Hall, Antero Foundation Board Member; and Anna Rogers, Antero summer intern, visited our playground for a formal check presentation. Our 2nd and 3rd grade students joined in the celebration and cheered with excitement. In addition, Antero Resources and Antero Midstream generously provided our students with branded water bottles to commemorate the day.

We would like to sincerely thank Antero Resources, Antero Midstream, and The Antero Foundation for their generosity, support, and time invested in our school community. Because of their contribution, we are one step closer to creating a safe, engaging, and lasting play space for our students to enjoy for years to come. We truly cannot thank you enough!

1st Grade Family Writing Night was a hit again this year! Families came out in full force to view their students’ writing and celebrate the incredible growth and progression from October to May.

There was a letter-writing station, plenty of student work to showcase, and many proud students, families, and staff members throughout the evening.

Awesome job, 1st grade team! Your students are well on their way to becoming strong writers and may even rival some of our older students one day!

We are so proud! ❤️🖤
