Summer is often talked about as a time to relax and recharge, but for many people, it doesn’t feel like a break at all.
Behind the sunny photos and vacation posts, summer can also bring added stress, packed schedules, childcare challenges, financial pressure, disrupted routines, burnout, and the feeling of trying to hold everything together all at once.
If this season feels overwhelming, you are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with needing support.
We believe mental health conversations should include the everyday stressors people quietly carry. Reaching out for help is not a sign of failure. It’s an important act of self-care and strength.
Whether you’re feeling anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, or simply struggling to keep up, we’re here for you. ❤️
📞 Call LifeBridge at 203–368–4291 to get started. In many cases, appointments can be scheduled within 48 hours.

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, history, and the continued pursuit of equity and justice.
We recognize that community well-being is deeply connected to belonging, dignity, opportunity, and access to support. Juneteenth is both a celebration and a reminder of the importance of continuing to build communities where every individual feels seen, valued, safe, and empowered to thrive.
Today, we celebrate Black history, culture, leadership, and resilience while also reflecting on the ongoing work of creating a more equitable and compassionate future for all.
In recognition of the holiday, our offices are closed today and will reopen on Monday, June 22.
Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚

Join us for the next Trauma-Informed Community of Practice (TI-CoP) session featuring Beth Tyson on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
In this session, The Hidden Cost of Caring: Recognizing and Responding to Vicarious Trauma, Beth Tyson, MA, Psychotherapist, Childhood Trauma Consultant, 3x Best-Selling Author, and CASA Volunteer, will explore the often-overlooked impact that supporting others through trauma can have on helping professionals.
Whether you work in mental health, education, healthcare, social services, or community support, repeated exposure to stories of trauma, loss, abuse, violence, and suffering can take a toll over time.
Participants will gain a foundational understanding of vicarious trauma, learn how it differs from burnout and compassion fatigue, recognize common warning signs, and explore practical, evidence-informed strategies that promote resilience, well-being, and sustainable helping practices.
Because caring for others starts with caring for ourselves.

The good news is that small, practical regulation skills can make a meaningful difference, and they can be learned and practiced by anyone.
This June, LifeBridge is offering TWO free Community Resiliency Model® (CRM) Trainings designed to help participants better understand stress and learn simple, body-based wellness skills that support nervous system regulation and emotional well-being.

This weekend, LifeBridge was proud to join community partners, leaders, and residents at the Juneteenth Parade and Harambee Festival to celebrate a day of reflection, resilience, freedom, and community.
As a behavioral health organization, we believe it's important to stand alongside our community—not only when support is needed, but also in moments of celebration. Experiencing and elevating shared joy is an important part of community well-being, helping to strengthen connection, foster belonging, and remind us of the resilience that exists within our neighborhoods.
We were especially proud to celebrate Tia Reid, our Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services, who served as a Juneteenth Parade Marshal.
While we can't be everywhere, we make every effort to participate in as many community events as our staffing capacity allows. If you know of an upcoming event where residents could benefit from learning about our services, drop it in the comments below—we'd love to hear about it.
Thank you to everyone who made this year's celebration such a powerful reminder of the strength, pride, joy, and resilience that make our community so special. ❤️🖤💚
