Are you retired and would like to continue utilizing your technical skills?

We have a terrific opportunity for you to get out and get involved with the Aviation Technology Program

We are looking for a couple retired individuals who would like to volunteer some of their time supporting our instructional equipment, aircraft, and hangar.

If spending some of your day in a clean and energetic educational environment, tinkering on aircraft/equipment, and mingling with young adults is something that interests you, give us a call at 304-367-4800.

Devoting three or four hours a day, two days a week, would be great. We can work around your schedule and will appreciate you sharing your life skills with us.

This will get you out of the house a little and you will be adding value to a worthy cause.

Please contact us and we will get you started.

Join us in welcoming Chris Cosner to the Pierpont family this fall as an Associate Professor of Aviation. ✈️

Chris began his career and love for aviation during his enlistment in the U.S. Army's 25th Infantry Division where he served as crew chief on a UH-1H "Huey" helicopter. He racked up hundreds of flight hours serving in such theatres as Thailand and the Philippines, and after completing full-time enlistment, he continued his service with the West Virginia National Guard while working for Pratt & Whitney. It was during this time he began studying with aviation artists and fostering his love for art and design. He created a line of aviation paintings that are sold in numerous galleries to customers around the world.

Enlisting in the U.S. Army Reserve's 6th Calvary Regiment led Chris to the world's best Attack Helicopter, the AH-64 "Apache" and a career with Dyncorp Aerospace. Working with Dyncorp gave him the opportunity to work with multiple other platforms including the UH-60 "Blackhawk," OH-58 "Kiowa," the Marine Corp AH-1W "Super Cobra" and UH-1N "Twin Huey," and the Navy TH-57 "Sea Ranger." He later joined Dyncorp at the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School where he earned the Commander’s Award for Safety Professionalism.

Chris brings over 14 years of experience in higher education along with his extensive experience in the aviation industry. Welcome to the team, Chris!
