We have acquired OF/DH Khris Davis, C Jonah Heim, and RHP Dane Acker from Oakland in exchange for SS Elvis Andrus, C Aramis Garcia, and cash considerations.

This year the Cubs had 10 players earn district honors! For a sport where only 9 players are on a field at a time we’d say this isn’t too bad! Congratulation to Freshman (1) Ethan Jezierski, Sophomore (1) Ben Bosse, Juniors (7) Jake Olson, Garrison Weiss, Braden McCain, Evan Aschenbeck, Ethan Weatherby, Carson Draehn and Jackson Corn, and Senior (1) Seth Diggs on an outstanding season with the Cubs!

Game vs Magnolia has been moved to tomorrow at 11:00 A.M. due to wet field conditions.

Tonight we had the pleasure of honoring the 62’ 63’ and 66’ Pickard High School State Champions as well as other Pickard HS Alumni. Thank you also to Cecil Cooper, both Pickard and Brenham Cub Baseball Alumni for honoring us by throwing the first pitch tonight.

Tuesday’s district game vs. Magnolia will honor Pickard High and the members of their ‘62, ’63 and ‘66 State Champion Teams. 17 year MLB Player, 2007-‘09 Astros Manager, ‘66 member of Pickard & Brenham High great Cecil Cooper will have the honor of the 1st pitch
