Stars over Washington County with Escape: A Tribute to Journey - Visit Brenham Texas Gates at Washington County Expo open at 6 p.m. Free admission to the July 4 celebration. Vendors, patriotic music and presentations. Concert begins at 8 p.m. with Escape: A Tribute to Journey. Fireworks begin at 9:20 p.m.

New artwork in the house! These two pieces by local Brenham artist, Lloyd Mays, represent memories from Lloyd's younger days -"The High Rise" (along with an original poem) and "The Majorette" We are excited to have historical artwork in our historic home.

Happy Mimosa Day! Did you know the Mimosa drink is named after the Mimosa tree? This flowering plant is native to the Americas and Asia. Not sure how the connection was made, but glad it was.
