Community Closet

Hey everyone!!!!
We are in need of summer clothes for the Closet! Purge your closets and drawers!
Everything is free here for the community! We have many families that rely on this closet weekly.

Our hours have changed slightly from 11:30- 2:45. I have another commitment now at 3 . But come early and get all the good stuff before it’s gone again. We just restocked!!!!

The Community Closet is open!

We are the Community Closet located inside Vineyard Church. Our mission is to provide gently used clothing to women and children in our community who need this resource. We proudly serve the greater Washington County area.

We are also accepting donations of gently used clothing. If you have items you would like to give, we would greatly appreciate them!

Please remember: Donations should be made only during our open hours.

You know, there is not a Wednesday that goes by that I don’t enjoy being at the Closet. When I have bad days or if in a quick moment I may think “ I just don’t feel like it today” it changes the moment I walk in the door and see familiar faces that have become regulars, to the new ones than pop in. I get so much joy seeing these moms, dads and children come in and find exactly what they need. Just when I think, oh I wondered if we will have what they need, or gosh we are running low? It is just but a fleeting thought because y’all the moment I say that or eve think it, God then shows me “Girl I got you covered!” He says “ I know the needs before you speak them, but when you speak them in prayer or with others I provide. He has never let this little Closet go without. If I say “ oh gosh we really need boys clothing” the next thing I know we get boys clothes donated, if I say we need women’s size smalls and mediums, they suddenly appear. We Lack for nothing at the closet and watching God move is the best part of it all. I mean seriously y’all! Since starting this God has provided and then some. My effort seems small to the amount of love God has poured into this sweet space. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see people leaving with a smile on their face and saying they will be back. This little Closet has made an impact on my life and seeing that it is making an impact on the community is just a side note to what God can do when you answer His call and obey His word.

Today we got the most sweetest email from a lady that came in yesterday. She was looking for prom dresses and colorful blouses for several ladies at a Retirement home that is putting on a Prom for their residents . She was so happy to find many things for the ladies and we helped her bag them up. She was so kind and was thankful that she could bring Joy to these ladies at the home. She loves what we are about and wants to volunteer by washing the clothes and helping sort and hang and do all the things.

Lord you always know what we need when we need it and sometimes you just ask us to speak it. When we speak it and speak his name, wow … what wonders unfold.

Thank you to the Lord God Almighty for always being the light in this world, thank you for your son Jesus for dying for our sins. Thank you for allowing our little closet to be a small light in our community. It is only done because of Him.
