🎭 More Than a Curriculum - It’s a Stage! 💃

Summer is the perfect time to let your creativity shine! In our Magnet Program, we don’t just teach the arts from a book - our students experience it in action!

Thanks to our dedicated Arts Wing at each school, every student experiences Music, Visual Arts, Theater, and Dance throughout the year! Whether they are mastering rhythm, learning stage presence, or painting their next masterpiece, we provide a specialized space for every child to find their voice. 🎨🎺

At Home STEAM Activities: Put on your favorite song and have a family dance party in the living room today! Or grab some empty cardboard boxes & recycled supplies and design your own musical instrument together and start a family band! 🕺

To our amazing 5th graders - SUMMER IS HERE!!! Congratulations on completing elementary school! We are so proud of all you have accomplished and the incredible growth you've shown during your time with us! Enjoy every moment of your well- deserved summer break!

🦅 BIG NEWS FROM SAINT MARTINVILLE JUNIOR HIGH! 🦅

We are thrilled to officially introduce SOAR+, our brand new, exclusive STEAM specialized program coming to SMJH for the upcoming school year! 🚀✨

SOAR+ will offer the following STEAM electives next year:
🔬 STEM & Robotics
🎨 Visual Arts
🎵 Band & Music
🎭 Theater & Performing Arts

We can’t wait to see our students master new skills, pivot toward their futures, and truly SOAR in our new STEAM program! 🦅💚💛

*Current STEAM Academy students will automatically be enrolled at SMJH with no additional registration needed & transportation will still be provided.

Looking for a FREE STEAM activity for your children to do at home this summer? Check out this awesome "Pixar in a Box" Animators class with 15 units of behind-the-scenes look at how Pixar artists do their jobs. Your kids will be able to animate bouncing balls, build a swarm of robots, and make virtual fireworks explode!

🍎 FREE "Grab and Go" meal boxes for all children in the parishes of St. Martin, St. Landry, and Evangeline are available this summer and offered by the St. Landry Parish School Board with registration.

🍏 What’s in the Box?:
7 Days of Meals: Each box contains 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches
Nutritious & Shelf-Stable: Easy to store and ready to eat
Cost: $0! This program is completely free

🍏 Who Can Participate?:
Any person under the age of 18
Residents of St. Landry, St. Martin, or Evangeline Parish
Students from public, private, charter, and parochial schools are all welcome

🍏Pickup:
Pickups happen Monday through Thursday (depending on the site). See flyer for locations.

🍏 How to Register:
1. Register Each Child: Visit https://tinyurl.com/slpfeed or scan the QR code in the flyer.
2. Get Your QR Code: After registering, check your email for a unique QR code for each child.
3. Pick Up: Bring your QR code (on your phone or printed) to the site. Digital registration only.

Note: The child does not need to be present for pickup!
