Good news!
(Of course, all three MS GOP reps- Ezell, Guest, and Kelly- voted against it.)

🚨 REMINDER 🚨
The SHIELD Act goes into effect in Mississippi on July 1.
Registered voters are already being purged from voter rolls. *CONFIRM YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION AND PRECINCT LOCATION* with your county circuit clerk's office, and recheck periodically between now and Election Day. It is recommended that you obtain any necessary documentation ASAP (birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce decree, passport, etc.) as they will be required if you need to re-register after July 1.

Concerned Rankin Countians,
You are invited to attend the Brandon Municipal Complex Boardroom board meeting on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 6:00 pm CDT. One of the main agenda items is the proposed AVAIO Digital Ta**us data center campus, a $6 billion investment slated for Brandon, Rankin County. This project has been described as one of Mississippi’s largest private investments, promising significant economic benefits—including 60 permanent jobs and more than $20 million in annual tax revenue.
However, many residents have raised concerns about the environmental, social, and infrastructural impacts, leading to robust discussion and growing debate within the community. This ongoing conversation reflects the balance between economic growth and potential risks for Brandon’s future.
To help you consider the issue, here’s a brief summary:
- Supporters emphasize job creation and increased tax revenue.
- Opponents highlight environmental, social, and infrastructural concerns.
Your presence at the meeting is important, as your voice matters in this decision. To stay informed and influence the outcome, please attend the board meeting.
