Wesson's Rescue

Wesson's Rescue was started when I adopted Wesson in 2011. My passion is helping animals! It is just me hands on helping the animals.

My name is Cassandra Parker and I run the Wesson's Rescue out of Brandon, MS. Right now my main goal is helping unchecked colonies of cats receive medical care, spay or neuter, and find new homes if possible. The number of cats in Mississippi who need homes, medical attention, and simple spay and neuter are in the hundreds of thousands. Please be nice to cats and do the best you can for them! Spay

The most bittersweet part of rescue is finding out some of the babies who found their forever through the rescue have now moved on across the rainbow bridge.
Denny and Missy were some of the first pups I came across on my journey into rescue. I remember how I rescued both of them. And I remember their adoption days like it was yesterday and not 10+ years ago! They both had great moms and an awesome life. For that I will always be grateful ❤️

Thank you Maggie and Kim for loving these beautiful girls for their whole lives!

We are currently working on a colony in Canton, MS. This will take some time as there are approximately 30 cats that can not be returned to their birthplace. Their owner is an elderly woman in failing health. Her husband loved these cats and they loved him. But it was just not financially possibly for them to get medical treatment.
I would love to fulfill her wishes to find them loving homes. Or at the very least, safe places for them to go once they have been fixed. Please message us if you can provide a safe place for any of these kitties to go after their medical care

Nabi and Nari, the first girls to be fixed from the Ramage Colony in Canton. They go to their new homes to be farm cats on 10/25/21 ❤

Thanks to a guardian angel their vetting was covered and they are spayed, vaccinated, and ready to go!

ADOPTED!

We have a new baby panther for adoption!

We rescued him out of a tree on the edge of our property a few nights ago!

He is about 4-5 months old and scheduled for his neuter and vaccines on March 27th!
He will be ready immediately after that!

Adoption fee is $50 and he will be sent with the dry food and a case of the canned food he is currently eating!

7 yrs ago I rescued a litter of 7 terrier mix puppies and Poe (blk/wht) was the biggest boy out of them all!
He is so loved and I so enjoy seeing updates from his mama 😍

4 females and 1 male!
2 of these kitties were taken from businesses near busy areas and relocated to a family barn in Flora!
