Elder abuse is often under-recognized and under-reported. It can take many forms: physical, psychological, and financial abuse, or simply neglect.

Many CNAs and HHAs support elderly individuals and see them regularly. They're in prime position to help prevent abuse and respond effectively when it happens, all while respecting the dignity, independence, and rights of older persons.
