Saw a post this morning of someone needing bees removed from their driveway. It was a bigger swarm than I had anticipated, but I got them all!
Another swarm we got in a trap that someone forgot to move away from the back porch…
This is the swarm from a previous video of us moving it from the trap to the hive box. This is what a swarm of bees looks like when relocating to a new home.
One of my hives had a queen that was barely laying any eggs so the colony was not growing. When this happens the colony sometimes raises a new one and replaces her. However, I wanted to get one that I knew would have good genetics.

We were able to harvest a few combs of honey from the tree removal over the weekend. We ended up with 6 jars in total, still need to get some labels made!
Removed a very old hive from a cedar tree this weekend! Cut my finger and got 3 stitches in the process. Was it worth it? I’ll let y’all know if the feeling comes back 😅
Unboxing and assembling a new hive for a tree cut out we will be doing tomorrow! Ignore my backyard, it’s a work in progress.

Happy freedom day! Spent a little time last week getting some more beehives prepped and frames ready for some possible bee removals soon.
Caught my first swarm in one of the traps I built. After giving them a week and ensuring they weren’t going to leave it was time to move them to a hive!
