📣 Senior Spotlight:
✨️ Meet Jathan! ✨️
🎓 My name is Jathan Coster. I am 18 years old. I am graduating from Kankakee Trinity Academy.
I started dancing 13 years ago! I started dancing at Dance in the Light 5 years ago, in the 7th Grade, February of 2021.
My favorite styles of dance are Ballet and Musical Theatre.
One of my favorite memories from Dance in the Light is when Miss Sami would teach Marissa and I our duets.
My future plan is going to Indiana Bible College and majoring in Missiology to become a Church Planter!
My life goals are to become a good father and a good husband, planting churches and traveling with my family. My career goals would be writing and publishing more novels and books.
Something I will miss about dance is, after learning my dances, feeling comfortable with the song and enjoying the moves that align with the music.
My advice to younger dancers is to keep Jesus first and, if you ever look in the mirror while dancing and don’t like what you see, then look away and look up to the Lord because He made you perfect in His image.
My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 120:7,
I am for peace: But when I speak, they are for war. ✌🏼💛

✨️ Meet Faith! ✨️
🎓 My name is Faith Guttendorf, I am 18 years old and I am graduating from Kankakee High School.
I have been dancing at Dance in the Light for 16 years, since I was 2!
My favorite styles of dance are Contemporary and Tap.
One of my favorite memories from my time in the studio is when I was younger and we were still in the mall, I loved to go with my friends to Barrels and Bins after dance class!
As for my future plans, I will be attending ONU in the fall to pursue a degree in physical therapy. My life/career goal is
to be a pediatric physical therapist and hopefully teach dance classes as well!
Something I will miss about dance class is the fun and friendships I have been blessed with through dance.
The advice I would you give to younger dancers is to take in every moment! Let the music flow through you and dance from the heart always.
I hope to dance in college and possibly come back for some classes at DITL.
My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you." ❤️

🎓 My name is Emma Bennett, I am 18 years old and graduating from my Homeschool.
I’ve been dancing at Dance in the Light for 10 years!
My favorite styles of dance are Contemporary and Hip-Hop.
My favorite studio memory is going to Branson, Missouri and performing.
This summer I plan on getting my GED. I want to do road construction.
Advice I would give a younger dancer is to live in the moment and take it all in because it goes by so fast!
I will most definitely come back to visit my DITL family!
My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13,
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. 🙌🏻💪🏼
