🍁It’s that time of year again!🍁 Our Fall Acting Session kicks off in just 2 weeks! Through the use of theatre games, guided improvisation, and scene work, our young actors will learn the process of creating believable characters on stage. 🎭 Students will explore acting, voice, diction, movement, and character development throughout this ten-week class to help them expand their skills. This is a great way to build confidence and prepare students for future auditions and performances. 🤩🤩 Our final class will culminate in a showcase of the students’ work. In addition to starring in the Broadway First National tour as everyone's favorite nanny, Gail has appeared in six regional productions - and now she's landed in Bozeman. About Us
TATE Academy is the educational branch of The Ellen Theatre. Established in the spring of 2014, the school was created with the goal of sharing our love of theatre with the Bozeman community, and offering instruction in various aspects of the performing arts. For youth, TATE offers after-school classes, occasional performing opportunities, and our popular two-week summer workshops. In addition, we periodically offer courses for adults as well as Master Classes with theatre professionals such as Franc D’Ambrosio, who portrayed the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.
TATE Academy operates as a non-profit, and we are pleased that our scholarship program has enabled many students to participate in classes that they otherwise could not afford.
The skills developed and explored in our classrooms give students the ability—and the confidence—to become creative problem-solvers, inspired communicators, and innovative thinkers. Our curriculum focuses on acting technique and encourages actors to work together as an ensemble and let their imaginations soar. Personal responsibility is also emphasized through line memorization and respect towards fellow actors. Students who choose to continue their training with us are challenged with more advanced concepts.
