Welcome back! 💙💛 Yesterday our archivists guided visiting alumni on a trip down memory lane with selected materials from the library’s Archives and Special Collections. We shared stories and looked through club scrapbooks, school yearbooks, and more.

We've got summer on the brain, and that means it's time for root beer floats at the library! 😻🍨 Community members and friends across campus are encouraged to join us in welcoming our incoming MSU freshmen with a sweet treat! We’ll be serving the first round this Monday, June 8, 3 - 4:30 P.M.

This week MSU Library hosted the annual Tribal College Librarians Institute (TCLI)! TCLI was founded in 1989 to address the professional needs of librarians at the seven tribal colleges in the state of Montana. Each year, the Institute provides a balanced mix of topics from basic librarianship to cutting edge developments, while addressing cultural concerns important at the tribal colleges. Especially important have been Native librarians who have served as role models and mentors with participants.

The end of the semester gets everyone a little worked up. 😖 That's why we're bringing back the de-stress professionals! 🐶🐈🐢 .therapy.animals will be returning this Wednesday (2 p.m. - 4 p.m.) and Thursday (10 a.m. - noon) to help students take a well-earned . Bring some friends and get in some quality scratches, pats, and belly rubs!

Despite the snow, it won’t be long before we’re reaching for our fly rods! 🎣 Join MSU Library on Tuesday, April 28, at 7 p.m. in Inspiration Hall (inside Norm Asbjornson Hall) for the 2026 Trout Lecture, featuring legendary angler Nick Lyons. He’ll share stories, memories, and a lifetime love of fly fishing, followed by a reception.
