This validates my time at Standing Rock. Here is an update on the video I shot of Erik Poemoceah being tackled during the Standing Rock protest. It's the same clip that Josh Fox used in Awake: A Dream From Standing Rock. Video, when used well, can offer meaningful protection against abuses of power and force. Hi everyone. I just want to give you a short update on our progress. Editing is moving along smoothly. The more I work on this, the more excited I get to share it with you. I'm in the process of creating a rough draft of the film. Some of the key moments of the film are now alive and on the timeline! Editing is 90% semi boring grunt work and 10% breakthrough moments. Most of the time the pieces don't fit perfectly, but when they do, it makes me smile! Here is a screen shot from the first draft. The main timeline is top right. I often use a cut line, which is bottom right, to break up long shots before I add them to the the main timeline. You can see in video track 4 (V4) I have a bunch of title cards. I use them mostly to take notes on screen. An example being "replace with static wide angle shot from back of ambulance traveling at high speed"
