We congratulate Dr. Jioanna Carjuzaa on her retirement at the end of the 2022 fall semester. She joined the faculty of the Department of Education in 2006 when she began teaching our Multicultural Education courses. Since 2014, she has been Executive Director of the Center for Bilingual and Multicultural Education. As facilitator for Indian Education for All (IEFA) professional development, she has hosted over 20 IEFA conferences/workshops. Dr. Carjuzaa served as faculty advisor for the Society of INdigenous Educators (SINE, formerly Wanji Oyate).

MSU's United Nations Association (UNA-USA) Student Club is hosting activist and musician, AY Young, who was recently named the United Nation's "Youth Leader of the Year." AY Young's presentation will first discuss his journey to becoming a leader and pursuing his passions as an outlet for change.
