Some transformations go far beyond beauty.
Today, a client sat in my chair and shared a story that I know so many women quietly carry. She lives with alopecia, and after losing her hair, she also felt like she lost a part of herself. She told me that wearing wigs never felt right for her — like she was hiding instead of healing. So she made the incredibly brave decision to embrace her hair loss exactly as it is.
What brought her in to see me was the desire to feel like herself again.
She had previous brow work that had faded into a gray tone over time and no longer reflected who she was. Before losing her hair, she naturally had soft dark blonde/light brown brows, and recreating that softness for her today was emotional for both of us.
She cried in my chair, and honestly… so did I internally.
People don’t always understand the grief that can come with hair loss as a woman. Brows frame expression, identity, confidence — they are something many people never think twice about until they’re gone. This work is never just “cosmetic” to me. Sometimes it’s restoration. Sometimes it’s healing. Sometimes it’s helping someone look in the mirror and recognize themselves again.
And what inspired me most about her was that she wanted to share her story so other women going through alopecia know they are still beautiful, still feminine, still worthy, and never alone.

Soft combo brows on melanated skin deserve intention, not a copy + paste approach

We take our time. We soften where needed, build depth carefully, and focus on enhancing your features instead of overpowering them.
Especially for my more nervous clients — the goal is never to make you feel “done.”
It’s to make you feel like the most elevated version of yourself when you look in the mirror.
