Perhaps no place in any community is so totally democratic as the town library. The only entrance requirement is interest.

Quote for the day:
“My grandma always said that God made libraries so that people didn't have any excuse to be stupid.”

New York Public Library Makes 180,000 High-Res Images Available Online
We had a quick meeting the other night at our Headwaters Event at Renne Library. There were 21 people in attendance and we voted to amend the bylaws so that it is preferred that officers represent different types of libraries, but not required. Since there were no new nominations for officers, we voted to approve the three who agreed to serve in the interim. They are:
Chair - Beth Boyson, Bozeman Public Library,
Vice Chair/Chair-elect - Mitch Grady, Livingston-Park Co. Library, Secretary/Treasurer - Lois Dissly, Bozeman Public Library.
Thanks to Kim Allen Scott, Jan Zauha and Mary Murphy for an entertaining and informative program about Ivan Doig and the Archives that are now housed in the Special Collections section of MSU Renne Library.
I think I can say that a good time was had by all!!
