Day 22: DIY Christmas puzzle game
🐶
Wrap treats in layers of tissue paper or lightweight, wrapping paper and allow your dog to unwrap them. For more of a challenge place the wrapped treats in a box. Just make sure they don’t ingest any paper so keep a close eye on them while they have fun. Consider using Elevate’s Trail Treats to really reward them for being a good boy or a good girl.

Day 20 of Elevate’s 25 Days of Christmas Countdown
Winter may bring cold weather and shorter days, but it’s still important to keep your dog active and stimulated. Here are some great ideas for keeping your dog happy, healthy, and entertained during the winter months.
Day 20: Scent Games: Hide treats or toys around the house and encourage your dog to sniff them out. This taps into their natural instincts and provides a fun challenge. Consider Elevate’s Trail Treats to get your dog’s sniffer in action!
Or
Obstacle Course Fun: Create a mini agility course with household items like cushions, chairs, and boxes. Teach your dog to navigate the course for treats or praise.

Day 19: Have some fun with your dog and a snuffle mat!
🎄
A snuffle mat is an interactive feeding tool designed to stimulate a dog’s natural foraging instincts. It’s made of a flat base (often rubber or fabric) with strips or loops of fleece or fabric attached, creating a shaggy surface. You hide treats or pieces of kibble within the fabric layers, and the dog uses their nose to sniff and “hunt” for the food.

🐾 Plan Winter Activities with your Dog🐾
❄️
If you have no idea what your dog may like to do, try a few things and start slowly. You’ll know within 5 to 10 minutes if your dog enjoys snowy, colder weather for a limited time. Here are some fun options to consider:
✅ Snow Hikes and Winter Walks: Ensure your dog is physically able and willing to hike or walk and prepare with apparel, paw check, and reflective gear.
✅ Skijoring: The sport of skijoring combines dog pulling and cross-country skiing and is best with high-energy, medium, or larger breeds. Always train your dog first before hitting the trails.
✅ Snowshoeing: Walk deep through the snow with your best friend by your side.
