Today we are celebrating two special women, Miss Rita and Miss Becky. Miss Rita has been with Little Tree six years now, and Miss Becky has been with us for 8 years. Both women have worked in a number or roles and have had such positive and heartfelt impacts on our children, families, and peers. The dedication and heart that they bring to their work is what makes them well-loved, highly respected, and very much so irreplaceable. We love you ladies!! Thank you for all that you do!

Happy work anniversary to these to special ladies-Miss Georgia and Miss Lia! Little Tree West is lucky to have these two wonderful women in the classrooms working with the children. Miss Lia and Miss Georgia provide love, kindness and humor each and every day, and the children can not get enough of them! Thank you to Miss Georgia and Miss Lia for making our school a welcoming and nurturing learning environment! We love you ladies!

Happy Birthday Dr. Maria Montessori!

Today we celebrate the legacy Dr. Maria Montessori brought to the world.
Maria Montessori was born on August 31, 1870 in Chiaravalle, Italy.
Montessori stressed the importance of supporting the independence of the young child. She believed if you prepared the environment for children to become successful and collaborate with one another they will learn to work together.
Children have an innate sense of peace and natural understanding of social justice that leads to change. When given freedom and guidance, children begin to learn there is an opportunity for growth and understanding through conflict. Creating a classroom that is respectful, inclusive and celebrates diversity in all forms continues to spread the message of peace and understanding that Maria Montessori wrote about in her books and articles.
