Revisited this sweet pair with a new sense of direction. I got stuck in similar spots but I made it to the finish line with a new love and appreciation for this little 6x6” composition. (Also I love grisaille. Turns out these old oil masters knew what they were doing).

“Rouge et Bleu”. Oil on canvas. 16x20”. Once again honored to collaborate with who captured the reference image. This painting was a journey of false starts and learning to commit. As I continue on my fine art and painting journey I am realizing that if my paintings aren’t burning my eyeballs, then I don’t really like them.
