We’re kicking off our 25th anniversary by celebrating the people behind the work: our Packmates.

Susan Miller is PIE's longest standing Packmate (all 25 years!), and her story is uniquely Montanan, a cattle drive, on horseback, when one conversation opened the door to an opportunity with PIE.

Follow along as we share more Packmate stories in the weeks ahead and celebrate the people who have shaped the last 25 years.

Huge congratulations to our Packmate Kennedy Warnken for completing the Canyons Endurance Run 100k.

Kennedy shared: “Running highlights my passion for pushing through challenges, mental toughness, and showing up consistently day after day. Trail running teaches you to move beyond discomfort, stay present, trust the process, and take things one step at a time. I walk away with a renewed reminder of why challenging ourselves, both personally and professionally, truly matters.”

Join us in celebrating four of our incredible Project Coordinator Interns as they reach a major milestone in their academic and professional journeys.

Erika Hardy is earning her Bachelor of Science in Finance, with a minor in International Business. She will be staying on with PIE as a PCI through the summer, and we are thrilled to continue working alongside her. Erika is most looking forward to continuing to grow her skill set and connecting with her colleagues, an approach that reflects the curiosity and commitment she brings to everything she does.

Shelbee Austin is graduating with her Masters of Science in Innovation and Management and will be moving back to Denver, Colorado. While she is moving on from PIE, she shared that her favorite part of the experience has been the truly supportive and collaborative environment. From never hesitating to ask questions to working with an amazing group of people, Shelbee leaves with meaningful relationships and confidence built through hands‑on experience. We are so grateful for the time she spent as part of the PIE Pack.

Ava Palmberg graduated in December with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Agricultural Business. She will be staying on with PIE as an intern through the summer and officially joining the team full time in September. Ava is excited to continue developing her professional skill set and to keep working alongside the supportive and driven people that make PIE such a special place to grow.

Aeven Sylvester completed her degree with majors in Agricultural Business and Economics, along with minors in Finance and Business Administration. While she is moving on from PIE, Aeven reflected on how much she valued connecting with the people here and building her professional and communication skills. Her growth and thoughtfulness have made a lasting impression on our team.

We are so proud of each of these women and everything they have accomplished, academically, professionally, and personally. Congratulations on this huge achievement and best wishes for what comes next.

🏅 From the course to the podium, a moment Reid Goble never expected.

Former PIE Membership Representative Reid Goble recently stood on a Paralympic podium as a guide for Team USA, helping his longtime friend and athlete Jake Adicoff accomplish a rare four‑race, four‑gold sweep at the 2026 Games.

For Reid, the experience wasn’t just about speed or medals. It was about trust built over years of training, skiing smoothly and predictably so Jake could race at his best, and sharing something that individual sports rarely allow. As Reid put it, guiding felt “like being on a relay every day” a chance to win together, not alone.

One of Reid’s most meaningful moments came during the relay, anchoring the final leg under pressure, chasing down the leaders, and hearing the entire team line the course as they skied into gold. “Standing on the podium with the team,” he shared, “was surreal. I never really thought I’d be up there doing that.”

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Reid not only for this achievement, but for the humility, preparation, and teamwork he brought to everything he did at PIE. As he prepares for medical school this fall, we’re cheering him on every step of the way.

Join us in congratulating Reid and the entire U.S. Para Nordic team!
