With heavy hearts, we mournfully announce the passing of Beuna Tomalino on March 16th, 2023 in the company of her loved ones. Beuna was a pillar in our community, a passionate and dedicated entrepreneur, a patient and inspired teacher, and above all a loving mother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend to her loved ones. She is greatly missed and loved, and will forever be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Utah State University Botanical Center to support community education for the conservation of water, wildlife, and native plants.
The family requests kindness and privacy regarding inquiries at this time of mourning, and sends their thanks to all who have sent their condolences and love.

🔥 Herbal Academy's Base Fire Cider Recipe - it's a must-have oxymel for cold and flu season!
Fire cider is a great defense against cold and flu pathogens, at the first sign of cold symptoms, and as a decongestant and expectorant when the cold has set in. It also stimulates digestion and helps moves circulation throughout the body! Get creative with this base recipe...
HERBAL ACADEMY'S BASE FIRE CIDER RECIPE
🌶️ 1 large red onion, chopped
🌶️ 3 heads garlic (Allium sativum), chopped
🌶️ 1 organic lemon with peel, diced
🌶️ 1⁄2 cup fresh ginger (Zingiber officinale) root, grated
🌶️ 1⁄2 cup fresh turmeric (Curcuma longa) root, grated
🌶️ 1⁄4 cup fresh horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) root, grated
🌶️ 1⁄4 cup fresh thyme (Thymus vulgaris) aerial parts, chopped
🌶️ 2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper (Piper nigrum)
🌶️ A few fresh cayenne or jalapeño peppers (depending on how spicy you want your fire cider, you might use more peppers, or omit them altogether—it’s better to err on the side of caution because you can always make it spicier later!)
🌶️ Honey to taste
🌶️ Raw apple cider vinegar
Great fire cider additions we suggest trying include dried elder (Sambucus nigra or S. canadensis) berries, cinnamon sticks (Cinnamomum spp.), echinacea (Echinacea spp.) root, seed, or aerial parts, astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) root, and even lavender (Lavandula spp.) flower buds.

Consider growing celeriac in the future. For now search for it in your local famers market or produce department
👋 Did you know celeriac is a good source of vitamin K, vitamin C, B vitamins, and fiber? It's true, and it's definitely worth adding to your list of nutritious foods!
👋 If you’ve been curious about celeriac, here’s your chance to try this slightly sweet yet mild-flavored root. It’s similar in texture to a turnip, but when you cook it until tender, it creates a creamy, dreamy, delicious soup! It’s tasty on its own as a pre-dinner appetizer, or you can stir in your favorite cooked legumes, whole grains, and greens to make it a complete meal.
