Oil and gas companies drilled and polluted less in 2025, but emissions from each well are rising, Colorado regulators say Water is also a worry, with producers recycling a far lower percentage than in 2023, led by Western Slope and Front Range operations

A 2026 study by the Colorado Fiscal Institute shows that preparing for and responding to climate damages will cost Coloradans over $1B on average per year moving forward through 2050. Taxpayers are footing the bill, but we can change that by making major polluters pay their fair share. Be part of the solution!
