We are incredibly excited to invite you to Healing Has a New Home, an open house and ribbon cutting for Project AnimalAid's new home! Come celebrate what your support has made possible for animals around the world on Wednesday, June 10th. You'll be able to see all of the veterinary and medical supplies that have been rescued from landfills and are going to be sent around the world to treat and save animals of all kinds! ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฐ
YOU made this possible, and we would love to celebrate with you all that your generosity has accomplished ๐
Stop in any time between 5-7pm for beverages, snacks and a tour of the warehouse. Our special guests, Senator Judy Amabile and Representative Karen McCormick will cut the ribbon at 6 pm.
This event is free, but we are asking people to register so that we have enough refreshments. Link in comments ๐

"The only animal hospital in a region of 10 MILLION people" Living in the United States, that's just incomprehensible, but this is the reality in many regions of the world.
We are so proud to support groups like The BIG FIX Uganda, that do the seemingly impossible. For over a decade Project AnimalAid has been providing them with much needed veterinary supplies and equipment to aid them in their incredible mission.

We're known for our work with dogs โ but we treat all animals in need. This gorgeous cat was recently brought to us because she was limping and had wounds on her leg.
We are the only animal hospital in a region of 10 million people, and we treat every animal in need, regardless of species or what their guardian can afford. This cat is now out of surgery, pain free and recovering beautifully. This is why we do what we do. All animals deserve love and medical care.๐พโค๏ธ

Thank you, First Gentleman Marlon Reis, for drawing attention to this important day. When will we realize that we are all reliant on another for a better and healthier world? When these animals go extinct we all suffer the consequences ๐ข
Good Afternoon, Friends,
Today is National Endangered Species Day, a day to raise awareness, celebrate, and learn about Endangered Species worldwide, and reflect on what we can do to protect these inspiring animals and ensure the bright and thriving future they deserve.
From Coloradoโs own native speciesโthe Black-Footed Ferret, the Canada Lynx, the Gray Wolf, the Lesser Prairie-Chicken, and the Greenback Cutthroat Troutโto endangered animals around the world, like Black Rhinos, Blue Whales, Amur Leopards, and Monarch Butterflies, every species plays an important role in maintaining healthy ecosystems and a liveable planet.
I encourage everyone to take a moment today to learn more about endangered species and consider small ways we can all make a difference, whether by supporting conservation organizations, spending time in nature, or encouraging people young and old to care about animals as fellow travelers on lifeโs journey. ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐

We love our Board Directors so we want to introduce you to the wonderful individuals who help make Project AnimalAid successful. Meet one of our newest members, Howard Cantor!
Howard was born in New York City and grew up in Connecticut. After attending college in Philadelphia, where he volunteered at a small animal shelter, he worked for a financial firm, an employee benefits company, and with his father in NYC as a Broadway theater party agent. Deciding to follow his lifelong desire to conserve and protect the environment, he then went to graduate school in Indiana and earned his masterโs degree in public administration with a focus on environmental policy. That launched him into a nearly three-decade career in the federal government working in various senior executive positions at the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of the Interior, both in Washington, DC and Denver. After retiring in 2025, his search to continue making a difference led him to Project Animal Aid and its vital mission.
Howard lives in Denver with his wife and has two boys, one who works in Massachusetts and another who will begin college in the fall. He enjoys practicing martial arts, traveling, and playing and spending time with his two dogs, Mr. T and Ladybug.
Thanks for being a part of the PAA team, Howard!

Itโs World Donkey Day and that is truly a day to celebrate! ๐๐ซ
We LOVE these magnificent animals that do SO much for people all around the world. From carrying supplies across rugged terrain to helping families earn a living, donkeys are hardworking, intelligent, and incredibly loyal companions. โค๏ธ
Here are just a few amazing facts about donkeys:
๐ซ Donkeys are actually stronger than horses of the same size.
๐ซ Their large ears are filled with blood vessels that help dissipate heat and keep them cool in hot climates.
๐ซ A donkeyโs bray can reportedly be heard from up to 60 miles away in the desert!
๐ซ Donkeys have a special muscle layer covering their jugular veins for added protection from predatorsโ bites.
๐ซ When a donkey curls back its lips and exposes its teeth, itโs called the Flehmen response โ a way of processing new or interesting smells.
Today we celebrate these gentle, resilient animals and all the love and support they bring to communities around the globe. ๐๐
