Very important work by our dear partners in Uganda, Bam Animal Clinics.
Rabies still kills around 59,000 people in the world every year - 95% of those deaths are in Africa and Asia.
Rabies is preventable, but community education and preventative vaccines for dogs and cats is vitally important to keeping this disease at bay. Bam Animal Clinics holds frequent vaccine clinics in rural Uganda and by doing this, they are saving the lives of countless humans and animals 🙏

This is why we do what we do. Every week we get stories from our frontline partners of the amazing and heartbreaking work that they are doing to help animals. With your support we are able to provide them with desperately needed veterinary supplies to care for these animals.

Baw Baw Animal Welfare currently has about 60 dogs that would benefit from wheelchairs to get around. Project AnimalAid has several that we are hoping to get to them. Please support our efforts to ship these and other crucial supplies to Baw Baw Animal Welfare and other groups that rely on Project AnimalAid.

For Feel Good Friday, we're sharing a post from back in June from our wonderful partners Mbwa Wa Africa Animal Rescue. They do absolutely amazing work in Tanzania helping homeless and injured dogs and cats. They are true heroes on the frontline of animal welfare ❤

A huge thank you to Project Animal Aid for once again sending a wonderful package all the way from the United States to Tanzania. ❤️

For animal rescue organisations like ours, partnerships like these make an enormous difference. Every day, we care for animals with very different needs, and having access to specialised equipment and medical supplies can be life-changing.🙌

This latest shipment included wheelchairs for our mobility-impaired dogs, halos for blind dogs, diapers, surgical instruments, and many other useful items that will help us provide better care for the animals who depend on us.

Some of these things are difficult or even impossible to find locally, making donations like this incredibly valuable. A wheelchair can give a paralysed dog more freedom. A halo can help a blind dog navigate the world with confidence. Surgical instruments allow us to continue providing essential medical care. Every item has the potential to improve or even save lives.💕

Project Animal Aid works tirelessly to support animals and animal welfare organisations around the world, helping ensure that resources reach the places where they are needed most. We are incredibly grateful that Mbwa wa Africa is one of the organisations benefiting from their generosity.🙏

Animal welfare is truly a global effort. While our work happens here in Tanzania, it is made possible by compassionate people and organisations across the world who believe that every animal deserves a chance.
