Hand-crafted alterations for Magic: The Gathering cards.

01/11/2026

Sorry for being MIA for a while. If you've been waiting to hear back from me about an order or request, I'll be working my way through my inboxes starting this evening. I've got a surgery coming up that's going to keep me from working or doing much for a couple of weeks but I'll be starting things up again as soon as I'm able to be up and about again.
If you wish to cancel your order, I can accommodate that even if work has already been started. I'm happy to auction off cancelled orders and replace cards if that's what you want. For those of you with overdue orders, you haven't been forgotten and I should be able to have everything finished up and on it's way to you soon after I'm done with recovery. I have about 2 months worth of work to do to complete all currently overdue orders.
Once these orders are finished up, I'll be implementing a strict 1 month queue for myself moving forward.
I hope that everyone's new year is going well

I'm finally moved into my new studio and ready to start back up! I'm also very close to being finished up with overdue orders which I'm so excited about! I've taken a long break from posting much on socials as I focus on moving and getting caught up. I'll start posting work regularly again in a couple of weeks :)
I'm very happy to have moved work out of the house. I think this change is going to be much better for my mental health and also boost productivity a lot. Moving forward, I'm not going to be booking work more than 3 months in advance. Additionally, I'm going to be keeping a spreadsheet going of my hours at work and getting an accurate picture of how long specific types of alters are taking me. With all of the small distractions at home, it was difficult for me to track the time it takes me to do the work and that translated into me having a poor estimation for clients on expected turnaround time.
A big part of why I do alters is because it makes me happy to see my clients happy when their orders are finished up. Bringing people's dreams - even small ones - to life is a very fulfilling aspect of what I do. Working from home was keeping me from doing that in the way that I want and the way that you all deserve. I still love the process of the work and I'm very optimistic about how having a studio outside of the house will affect my productivity as well as my work/leisure hygiene. The next 3 months are going to be a period of high-productivity work for me but also an evaluation period to answer the question of whether or not it's a good idea for me to continue doing alters as a full-time job. I really hope that things start feeling better as I get caught up on orders and have more separation between home and work and I think that I've set myself up for success with this adjustment. Here's to a great summer and hopefully many more years of making awesome alters!

City of Traitors playset with retro foiling. These turned out so beautifully :) I can't get enough of the retro foils!
Big update for the retro foil product with the splice method: After a lot of investigation, I found that the colors and brightness of the foiling had much more subtle variation between cards than I had previously thought. My primary workstation had relatively bright LED lighting which made it difficult to see all of these variations and led to me using foils that didn't always match as well as they should have. After installing fluorescent and incandescent lighting in my secondary workstation, I can now compare donor foils better and be more accurate in my choices of matching foils when it comes to splicing.
The upside is that spliced foils will now look more consistent under all light conditions. The downside is that I realized that there is a lot more variation between foils (even of the same set) and it's made finding matches for splicing more difficult. I went through 136 foil Plains from Invasion just to find 6 perfectly matching pairs!

Arcane Signets with Phyrexian text and new art! I'm finally getting close to finished up with overdue orders and feel like I have some breathing room to start posting finished work again :)
Sorry for the lack of sweet pictures the past few months, I've really just been working as much as I can to get stuff completed and haven't had the time or energy to post and answer questions very often.

Sale Post!
I've got a bit of stuff that's been piling up since last year that I'm ready to put up for sale. Free First Class shipping in a bubble mailer with tracking is available to anywhere in the US. Priority is $7. International shipping is available as well. Just let me know where you're located and I can get a price estimate for you.

Gaea's Cradle (JPN Retro foil) - SOLD. This was originally supposed to be a Chinese retro foil project and a new copy was used for that order. This one features Japanese text and retro foiling.

Damnation (Retro foil) - $400. This was an experimental project that I did as a proof of concept for a similar task with another order. This card was altered by splicing in pieces from several other cards. The "Damn" is lifted from Screams of the Damned. "ation" is taken from Fatal Mutation. The rules text comes from Decree of Pain and the retro foiling comes from Eradicate. All of the splicing was done into a foil Damnation before being covered with the retro foil layer. This card sits flat and, like all of my retro foils, it is not noticeably thicker/stiffer compared to an unaltered foil when shuffling. This is probably one of the cards that I've spent the most time on in my career and I am unlikely to do something similar again.

Chrome Mox Playset (JPN Retro foil) - SOLD. I love the original Mirrodin art by Donato and had crafted these as an addition to one of my Legacy decks a while back. It's not often that you get to match the original artist credit when choosing a donor foil for a project but Panacea had Donato's credit which made it an easy choice.

Brazen Borrower (JPN Retro foil) - $400. This was a fun project for my Legacy Delver deck but it took a ton of time to get all of that text worked in and I ended up not doing a second copy.

Hatred (Retro foil) - $350. This was originally supposed to feature Phyrexian text but I made a mistake and etched out space for the English text in the donor foil layer. Rather than redo the foiling, I just started fresh with another copy and finished this one out with the original English text.

Lightning Bolt Playset (Unlimited with Beta borders) - $275 SOLD

Dark Ritual Playset (Unlimited with Beta borders) - $200

Sinkhole Playset (Unlimited with Beta borders) - $140

Murktide Regent trio (JPN Retro foil) - $275 per card or $800 for all 3.

Counterbalance (JPN Retro foil) - $225

Force of Negation (JPN Retro foil) -$200

Grafdigger's Cage (JPN Retro foil) - SOLD

Court of Cunning (JPN Retro foil) - $100
