Tax season is a natural time to reflect on how we care for what’s been entrusted to us.
In light of recent tax law changes, there may be opportunities to give in ways that are both impactful and financially beneficial to you. We want to share a few options that some in our community have found helpful:
-Gifts of appreciated stock or cryptocurrency: You may be able to avoid capital gains taxes while supporting organizations that are extending care and compassion to others.
-IRA charitable gifts (if you’re 70½ or older): Reduce taxable income and, if applicable, satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
-Donor-Advised Fund grants: An opportunity to recommend a gift from funds you’ve already set aside for generosity.

⛳️ Fore! (We promise that’s the only warning you’ll need.)
Join us on August 10 for the Elks Golf Charity Scramble—where the swings are questionable, the laughs are guaranteed, and it’s all for a great cause.
Whether you’re a scratch golfer or just here for the snacks and sunshine, you’re in the right place. Grab your friends, dust off those clubs, and come make a difference—one swing at a time.
Spots fill fast, so don’t wait! 🏌️♂️

In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus gives a command that is both beautifully simple and deeply challenging:
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:31, ESV)
Most of us understand the importance of kindness and compassion, but the question often becomes: What does it really look like to love our neighbor in meaningful ways?

Many of us are still settling into our new rhythms for the year. Caring for our loved ones, planning with purpose, and tending to what matters most are commitments we will carry forward each day.
Creating or updating your will is one of the kindest ways to honor those commitments. It offers clarity for your family and reflects the thoughtfulness and stewardship you already bring to your daily life. Our community works together to extend the hand of Christ, and this simple act helps ensure that the people and ministries you care about are supported well into the future.
FreeWill, our trusted partner, makes this process straightforward. In about 20 minutes, you can create a plan or confirm that your existing one still fits your wishes. The tool is completely free and easy to revisit over time.
As you complete your will, you’ll also have the option to include a gift to Grace Commons Foundation. For those who choose to do so, it’s a way to continue uplifting the ministries that provide care, hope, and Christ’s love across Boulder and beyond.
Your future self will be grateful for the peace of mind this resource brings.

❤️ This season draws our hearts toward the people we cherish most. It’s a natural time to pause and reflect on the ways we express love—not just in words, but through thoughtful choices that shape the future.
One of the most meaningful steps you can take this season is creating or updating your will. It’s a simple act that brings comfort to you and your loved ones while ensuring your intentions reflect your values. For many in our community, it’s also a way to support the ministries and organizations that extend the hand of Christ here in our community and throughout the world.
We’ve partnered with FreeWill, a free and secure online tool that guides you through the process in about 20 minutes. Many supporters find it helpful whether they’re creating a will for the first time or taking a few moments to update an existing one.
Take this moment to care for future you and those you love with a step that offers reassurance and purpose: http://bit.ly/4aBon0t
