Had a chance to bring all my art, design and printmaking together earlier this month. The friendly folks at Ball Arena reached out to me with a request. To create a custom gift for the one and only Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band in celebration of their sold out stop here in Denver. I thought a hand printed jean jacket fit the bill 🇺🇸 🎸 🤟

A week later and I finally took a photo of my current work in progress. I’ve been getting after it with mixing up all the hues and tones. I’m almost done with my "Sources of Strength" mural for the Powell Pumas. I’m hoping to have this piece completed and ready to welcome all the students and faculty as they start a new year of middle school in Littleton later this week. 🎨

Our contribution to the mural program at the RiNo Art Park, in collaboration w/ for Youth Month is complete! Thanks to all the youths who participated in our initial brainstorming session that helped to inspire my direction and intentions for this design. The last day of our June exhibit has arrived. Big thanks going out to the for hosting and showing our work this last month, as well as giving me the opportunity to curate First Fridays for the next few months. If you haven’t paid a visit to the hotel to see these solo, studio works in person created by and myself today is pretty much your last chance. “Horologe III - 5.29.2022” is the 3rd in my most recent series that is conceptually based around the measurement of time. This painting was the first of three paintings I completed in the week leading up to our First Friday, June exhibit 🎨 You can find this piece along with the rest of our show on display at the Art Hotel, located in the creative district for the rest of the month.

Jason T Graves Art
Jason T. Graves is a multi-media artist who for the last 17 years has made his home in Colorado. After developing his artistic fundamentals during his childhood and adolescence, Jason completed his formal training at The School Of The Art Institute Of Chicago. He graduated from the Art Institute in 2000, with a focus in Printmaking and Fine Arts.
Currently, Jason is a creative partner and a major contributor to the concepts, designs and production of what some are calling “prolific murals and works of art”, produced by the artist group operating under the name “So-Gnar Creative Division.” Jason has been, in part, responsible for a majority of the designs and production of the murals that have made this group a recognizable organization in the world of public art in Denver and around the United States. In addition to the production of murals, Jason has worked with the company, So-Gnar for many years. He originally began as the company’s screen printer and apparel provider. Jason’s role within the company expanded to encompass that of designer, live artist, event DJ, local So-Gnar Snowboard Camp counselor, and Head of Operations for So-Gnar Clothing Co.
Jason began his artistic career by working as a college intern/printing apprentice at Chicago’s Anchor Graphics owned by artist David Jones. There he assisted with traditional sandstone lithography, etching, as well as other printing processes. His internship helped enhance his printmaking skills and sparked his interest in the business operations of a printshop.
After working several years in the printing field Jason at the age of 27, co-founded the Boulder screen printing and graphics design company, Apollo Ink Printing. Apollo has served the Boulder/Denver area for more than 10 years. Through the hard work and efforts of his staff, along with Jason’s experience and direction, Apollo Ink has earned the reputation as one of the premier custom screen print shops in the greater Denver area.
