We learned yesterday of the passing of friend and hydropower pioneer, Bill Fay. Bill loved hydropower. There are very few hydropower facilities in New England that Bill did not know. Bill gave new life to countless hydropower stations abandoned after the mills they powered were shuttered. He used his vision, political savvy and engineering skills to transform rusty equipment into functioning hydropower that offered economic and environmental benefits to places that needed them most. Bill’s love of hydropower was surpassed only by his love of his children, Will and Celeste. Both are now respected hydropower professionals in their own right, having learned at the knee of their father. Celeste is Gravity’s Regulatory Manager and Project Engineer and a valuable member of our team. We extend our sincerest sympathies to Celeste, Will and the Fay family.
