Miracles4Lyla
Lyla Melisande Potts was born on February 16, 2024 at 24 weeks gestation weighing 1lb 1oz.
Lyla is currently in the NICU in Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT where she is fighting for her life.
Lyla is set to undergo a corrective procedure for an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) on August 27th, which will involve the placement of a patch in her heart. The procedure is scheduled to take place at the children's hospital in Spokane. As we are currently facing financial difficulties, I am seeking any support that you can offer. The donated funds will be used to offset costs associated with travel, food, and lodging during our time in Spokane. Below are the links to my venmo and PayPal accounts.

My miracle baby is 12 lbs 8 oz. She passed her swallow study with flying colors. Lyla is eating all of her feeds during the day by mouth and her night time feeds through the G tube until her pediatrician is confident that Lyla's gaining weight.

Lyla, six months old and 12 pounds, 2 ounces, recently passed her swallow study and has been primarily consuming breast milk and bottle feedings during the day. Her post-op appointment for her G-tube went well, with only minor granulation tissue around the stoma that will be treated with steroid ointment. Lyla's oxygen has been weaned down to 0.25 liters, which she's handling well.

I'm behind on updates. This last month has been a whirlwind for us. Lyla had her G Tube placed on July 3rd and then she was finally discharged from the NICU on July 10th after spending 145 days in the nicu. Since we have been home we have been fighting to get her medications filled since they have to come from a compounding pharmacy and there isn't one located close to us. Lyla's had multiple doctors appointments with her pediatrician and she is doing amazing. Lyla is now 10lbs 15oz and 23.5 inches long.
Surgery was a success. They'll be wheeling Lyla back into her room momentarily.
Today is surgery day. I'll update once I know more.

My babies 💜
Lyla will have a scope of her upper GI on July 1st, and then have surgery on July 3rd to have a G Tube placed.
Lyla failed the swallow study and aspirated some of her food. So now I'm waiting for the doctor to come talk to me about what happens next.
According to the doctor our next step will be a formal swallow study where they determine whether or not Lyla will need to have surgery to have a G Tube inserted. This will happen either tomorrow or next Tuesday.
