- We accept Medicaid, most commercial insurance plans, and offer discount and sliding scale fees for those who are uninsured. Women’s Health also has a Medicaid Enrollment Specialist on-site in Boulder and Longmont. You do not have to have an appointment at Women’s Health to access these services.

First periods shouldn’t come with fear or confusion—but too often, they do. At BVHC, we want to do our part to make sure everyone feels comfortable (or at least, as comfortable as they can be!) with their period.

Honoring Susan Buchanan, former BVHC Executive Director.
Susan Buchanan passed away on May 4th, 2026. Susan dedicated more than 20 years to Boulder Valley Health Center before retiring in 2019, leaving behind a lasting legacy of leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to advancing reproductive rights. She had an immense impact on our organization and the broader community. Our thoughts are with the Buchanan family during this difficult time.
