Humanwire
Innovative, one-to-one support for refugees. Humanwire is a new way to provide support to refugees, one-to-one.
Instead of sending your money into the void, Humanwire removes the charity organization from the middle and brings the donor and the recipient together. This relationship can provide a deep level of effective support while enabling both parties with an opportunity to bridge the culture gap.

The War for Girls' Education | Human Rights Watch I was living in New York City on 9/11. I watched from my rooftop as the second tower fell, joined colleagues handing out water to survivors covered in dust and sometimes in blood, and went to a protest in Union Square calling for peace. We knew war was coming—that the US government would respond wit...

The Butterfly Effect: 250 Humanwire Students Enter Public School
Today we celebrate the successful entrance of 250 Syrian students into the public school system in Lebanon. Humanwire's brick-and-mortar Butterfly Effect in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon prepares children to enter school for the first time in their lives.
From our Co-Founder, Mona Ayoub
About two years ago when we started Humanwire in Lebanon, one of the biggest goals that we had was to establish a center with a safe environment for Syrian refugee kids who have been out of school for several years. We had a trial last year and this year we received a grant from the RCRT Foundation to prepare 300 Syrian kids to join public schools. Today, we proudly announce that we were able to enroll 250 kids in public school in Bekaa Valley and they already started - October, 11th. All 300 kids got the chance to attend several classes including Arabic, English, Computer Programming with Raspberry Pi, Mathematics, Social, Recreation and Music.
Personally, the Butterfly Effect program means a lot to me. I believe that the only way to save the new refugee generation is providing a proper education. Education helps put those kids on the right path and opens their eyes to knowing their rights. It's the only way for them to survive this war and to fight poverty.
I want to take the opportunity to first thank the parents of the Butterfly Effect kids who put their trust in us and believed in our mission.
Secondly, The RCRT Foundation for funding this program which will continue into 2018.
Thirdly, our hidden soldiers, the amazing, restless team in Lebanon who prove every single day how professional and dedicated they are in keeping the school running.
Last but never least, I want to show my highest appreciation to our Butterfly Effect teachers who dedicated all of their time to educate, improve and encourage our 300 students. I cannot help but mention Amer, Alia, Ahmad, Ahmed, Hanan, Hekmat, Ghayyath, Peter, Elena, Patrick and Rawan.
And here’s to the Humanwire Lebanon team: Ahmad, Hasan, Layla and Eyad. Thank you from the heart!
Together we can be the change we want to obtain.
Get Inspired, Inspire On! ~ Mona

If education is in a state of emergency, where are the first responders? The situation is extreme in Nigeria, but truthfully, there is a global girls’ education emergency.
