Today, I ended up at the Dr. and then at the pharmacy. I lost about 2.5 hours of work time. I still made time to enjoy dinner with the family and a nice fire pit in the backyard. Then I got back to work. I had told two real estate clients that I would get them things that are important to them by today. I'm sure they might understand if I got it to them tomorrow. But, it was within my power to get these things to them tonight. That is the life of being a self employed real estate agent. All kinds of interesting hours! This is a small slice of insight into the things we do for people everyday. I enjoy so many things about it and I am not complaining. I just describing how things go sometimes. I am super grateful for the flexibility, but with that comes the other side, of getting things done when I say I will.

Here is an interesting investment opportunity in Longmont. This is a 14 unit development of the latest and greatest with what a builder can do with townhomes. An average price of $560k per unit. I think the rent estimate is a bit optimistic, but that is normal seller behavior. Every two years we get our new property tax evaluations in Colorado. I am getting a lot of calls asking questions about this. As a leading Realtor in the area, I am already doing complementary reviews of these notices for folks. I am happy to see if a protest is a reasonable option for you as well. In addition, I am glad to see the governor is doing something to try to offer relief. But, they have known this mess was coming for a long time and they waited until now, so this is too little and too late. We need to do more to have a more reasonable property tax system than this.
