You know how you can tour brick-and-mortar learning institutes, like when you're researching what university your kid might attend?

Well, here at Earth-Based Institute, we don't have a brick and mortar: nature is our "classroom" and "office," and the online space is what allows us to gather from across the globe!

So, we've decided to start live, virtual tours over Zoom, where you can connect with current students, check out the online classrooms, experience a taste of nature-connection online, and ask the questions you're holding about our ICF Level-2 accredited professional coach training program.

Comment TOUR to get all the details!

And let us know: What would you like to experience in the virtual tour?

Suez is an NCC Mentor for Cohort 35 and an ICF-Certified Nature Connected Transformational Guide based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her decades-long journey through chronic illness deeply informs her work, having led her inward to face fear, shadow, and the unknown. Through a profound connection with nature, radical self-permission, and steadfast systems of accountability and support, Suez reclaimed her vitality and now lives a life of fulfillment, health, and adventure.

With roots in education and family advocacy, Suez’s career evolved into guiding others through their own transformational growth. She studied Education at Augsburg College and Holistic Studies at the College of St. Catherine before earning her Nature Connected Coaching Certification (NCC) through the Earth-Based Institute in Boulder, Colorado. She is also a certified initiate in Sacred plant medicine facilitation and among the first to be certified as a Nature-Based Integration Coach (NBIC).

Suez shares her life with her husband, Charlie, their canine trail mate, Roo La Roux, and feline familiar, Peachka. When not guiding others or wandering the wild, she can be found enjoying time with her three sons, grandson, and close friends or reading by the fire with a hot cup in hand, soaking in the simple medicine of stillness.

Melissa Rapp, a Colorado native and mother of two teenagers, is a recently certified Nature-Connected Coach working towards her ICF credential! Like this post to cheer her on.

We got to highlight Melissa in last week’s workshop, because she is a great example of someone who created a plan, followed our business development stages, has been busy networking, is on track to meet her one-year goal, and is working with multiple clients! If you missed the free workshop and want the replay, DM us ‘TRANSITION’

Now back to Melissa: Melissa is dedicated to guiding families through the complexities of mental health challenges, learning differences, LGBTQ+ identity, and disconnection.

Her vision is to help families find calm, build resilience, and strengthen their connections. She deeply believes in the restorative power of the natural world, integrating its wisdom into her coaching process.

Drawing on extensive training in psychology, family systems, and professional coaching, she offers personalized support that helps families navigate challenges, improve communication, and thrive.

Outside of coaching, she enjoys the companionship of her two mini poodles, spends time with her heart horse, and finds joy in watching birds and studying wolves.

This time of year brings a renewed rising energy in nature (which includes us humans). Perhaps you’re starting to make plans for the warmer weather ahead or maybe you are getting ready to nurture the seeds of your business that you planted over winter. Or you just have a felt sense of transition.

Whatever questions are coming up for you this time of year, this is your invitation to take them to the land.

Questions you could ask:
As day and night find equal measure, what in my life is seeking equilibrium?
What have I been germinating through winter that's ready to sprout?
What dormant part of myself is awakening?
Where is my energy wanting to flow as the light returns?

Send this prompt to someone you’d like to share your reflections with! Solo time in reflection with the land builds your connection with Nature, and sharing your reflections with someone else builds community. Both are important.

Follow for more earth-based prompts and an inside look at becoming a professionally credentialed Nature-Connected Coach.

Tip 1 for choosing a coaching program: Self-reflect on things like your personal learning style, what you need to learn to best support the people you're called to serve, and how much business support you need. Use this to start compiling a list of what you're looking for in your program.

Tip 2: Get on a call with a team member at the school so you can ask your questions that will help you determine if it's the right fit for you. Also, it's a bit of a vibe check.

Tip 3: Check if they are ICF-accredited, and at what level. We may be biased because we're ICF-accredited, but for good reason. We believe in the professionalism of the industry, and the high integrity and ethics that the ICF holds their coaches to. So if you want to stand out from the crowd of people waking up one day and deciding to call themselves a coach, go with an ICF program.

Stay tuned for a blog post and free resource on the way, if you'd like more tips and support on choosing your coaching school - give us a follow or comment "tips" and we'll make sure to circle back to you!

In Cohort 34’s recent 4-day live intensive, students did a deep dive into parts work facilitation. And because our training is highly experiential, that means they were doing a deep dive into their own parts - which they’ve been working with for months now.

They learned how to identify, work with, and shift between:

* The parts who guided them to become professional credentialed coaches - the deep listeners, space holders, and ones who come alive when envisioning a life of impactful work aligned with your soul’s purpose.
and

* The team of parts who come together to build the business and learn to market in an ethical way that helps the people who need their services to find them.
Everytime we teach this, students are in awe of the sense of relief, ease, organization, and confidence they feel about fully stepping into entrepreneurship and professional coaching once they know how to actively choose which parts you’re operating from in any given situation.

Most importantly, students learned how to facilitate that same awareness, healing, and embodiment of parts with their clients. Time and time again, our coaches hear from their clients how impactful parts work has been in navigating their internal world towards the transformation they seek in their life.

If you want to get a little taste of what Nature-Connected Coaching is like to see if it’s the type of work you want to be facilitating, comment or DM ‘practice’ and we’ll get you matched up with a coach-in-training for a couple pro bono sessions!

As we near the end of the year, it is all too common for people to feel pressured to reflect on the past year and generate a whole list of goals for the year to come.

What if, instead, we took a cue from nature: Slow down, rest, and savor the rich nutrients of experiences this past year.

In other words, take time to honor and celebrate all that has been, before focusing on new ways to grow and improve!

We look forward to hearing your celebrations in the comments. Here’s a few of ours:

• Guiding our 35th cohort of Nature-Connected Coaching Candidates

• Hosting rich conversational Community Council Fires

• Students building businesses and bringing their visions to life in their communities

• Founder Michael Jospe speaking to the power of collaborating with nature in coaching on various podcasts and at an Association for Coaching conference

• The first ever cohort of Nature-Connected Integration Coaches presenting their inspiring capstones earning their certificates

• All of our students who achieved their NCC certificates, ACC, and PCC credentials this year

…and the list goes on!

Ultimately, we’re celebrating our growing community of people committed to cultivating a more connected, regenerative world in greater harmony with nature! Here’s to more visions fulfilled in 2026.

Share a celebration (or 5!) in the comments so we can celebrate with you!

All who hold a passion for nature, transformation, and community are welcome.

We’re honored to highlight Tracy Cash, a dynamic and heart-centered member of our community whose work bridges therapeutic depth, mystical insight, and embodied transformation. As a licensed clinical social worker and seasoned practitioner of Self Soul Spirit Parts Work, Tracy helps individuals navigate anxiety, depression, and PTSD by guiding them into greater inner coherence, confidence, and clarity. Her approach weaves together diverse modalities—including nature-connected coaching, transformational wilderness guiding, Reiki (Usui and Karuna Master Teacher), STOTT Pilates, sound healing, The Roll Model Method, and MELT Hand and Foot treatments—to create truly holistic pathways for healing.

Rooted in a vision of soul alignment, integrity, and creative transformation, her work honors the wisdom of cycles and seasons, the labyrinthine journey of growth, and the sacred process of acknowledging, healing, and integrating all parts of the self. With a deep commitment to community, love, and service, Tracy invites others into a space where the mystical meets the practical—where healing becomes a journey of safety, embodiment, and ultimately, radiant self-expression.
