Oh hi! It’s been a minute. I’m still around doing Elle things, but have had an immensely busy spring and summer. I’m currently back in my hometown, Eureka MO, for a week and am excited to have gotten an appointment here to get my “hair did”. And yes, I picked it for the name. elle + elle.

Many website editors have built in tools to properly and easily make these changes, you just need to know where to get to them (and we can help!). Some things like making sure fonts are not too small and picking colors that have enough contrast are easy fixes without needing to dig in code or editor sub menus.

I just shipped a logo concept to a client that has a tiny element of this incredible logo from the '68 Mexico City Olympic Games. If you haven't heard or read about it before, 99% Invisible does a great job explaining everything.

🔲 recorded how centripetal force and gravity move paint
🔳 created Calder-esque stabile “balanced” sculptures.

🍩☎️ The coolest new spot in town is definitely ! We decided to finally make a visit this morning since we were out of town when they opened and we’re having serious . We asked if we could donate my old cat phone to the cause and they said yes!

I could have taken a zillion photos of all the fun vintage items. Everything is perfection, the donuts, the flavors, the coffee, the logo, the vibe, the colors, everything. 🫶

Logos a go-goin'! I just wanted to share what happens during the logo process. I usually make 3 logos at first, then revise one of them based on the feedback from the client. I know which one I'm leaning toward, but I'm excited to see what is a good fit for the client.
