Oh, so close! In a three-set final, Bailee Silvonen falls to Tia Bork of Valley Christian, taking 2nd place in the State Class B girls' singles tournament. Her points help Jefferson to 4th place in the team competition. Says Coach Eliza McLaughlin: "Heart breaking loss, but she did great!"

Wow! With late points from Emma Ahlers in the 3200m run and the 4x400 relay squad, JHS Track & Field's girls surge ahead of Loyola Sacred Heart to take the Class B team championship! And the Panther boys finish 5th. What a great effort.

News from the Class B State meet in Missoula: Jefferson's Allie Muffick (shown here in the shot put) has won the javelin championship with a throw of 128' 3". Congrats!

Panther Bailee Silvonen will take on Valley Christian's Tia Bork tomorrow (Saturday) in Missoula for the Class B girls' singles state championship. Bailee beat Perri Jasper of Superior in today's semifinal. And in boys' doubles, Izaac Luhrsen and Hunter Heinitz will play for 5th place. Good luck!
