Hey y’all! I’m putting a cooking class series together based on the chapters in my upcoming cookbook. We will start with foundations and build from there. The first class will be focused on veggies and include eating seasonally, basic knife skills, different cooking methods, and of course a few delicious recipes. At the end of each class, we will sit down together and enjoy the fruits of our labor. The series will start either in December (5th or 11th) or after the holidays depending on interest. After the veggie class, we will move on to beans and grains, soups, sauces, sourdough bread baking, and healthy desserts. Join for the whole series or pick and choose. Classes will be small (probably limited to 8 people) and held at my house. More info in the next few days coming to your email if you are signed up on juliaskitchen.co.

Hey y’all. Does anyone need some gluten free sourdough bread cubes for your Holiday meals? I am testing a new oven and have some extra, which I’d be happy to give away. Text me if you have my number, or comment/dm on social media and I’ll set some aside for you.🍞

Tempeh is a great good for everyone you all. I specifically called out vegetarians in my last post because veg options in Eagle County are pretty thin, but tempeh is an amazing, delicious plant based protein for all who enjoy good health!

Eagle County vegetarian and vegans - come visit tempeh at the Vail Farmers Market!

Hey friends! Who is looking for meaningful work? I’m still working on my cookbook (🐌), but recently I also started working with because I am obsessed with this amazing artisan tempeh; have you had it? It’s delicious and also a fantastic source of plant based protein. I’m so excited because this is the first business I have found that is completely aligned with my own thinking about food. Anyway, Project Umami is growing and has huge potential to grow exponentially more…and we are hiring! This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a company committed to doing good for the world. Part time and full time, working markets and making tempeh, plus a chance to help with all the other things that make a small business go. Please spread the word if you know any great candidates. You can get Project Umami tempeh , farmstand, and many other places. Highly recommend!

Please get in touch if this would help, now or later...💜

Hey nearish to downtown Boulder friends-could a few of you hold onto your wide-mouth jars for me? I am low and I want to be able to fill with healthy things for people impacted by the fire. Best if it’s an option to recyclable when they are done to keep things as easy as possible for them. Nut butter, salsa, jarred tomato, rice syrup/honey jars that were destined to the recycle bin are all good…I can coordinate getting them from your porch or you can drop off if you are in my area. Thanks! ♥️

To be clear, my friends, please don’t think my offerings are limited to practicalities. If you have been impacted by the and a healthy treat would lift your spirits even for a moment, I am happy to help with that too.

People affected by fires, I have healthy food to offer: Currently I’ve got some Red Lentil Coconut Curry and Kitchari - both favorites back at Julia’s Kitchen. Still warm, plus I’m always happy to reheat if you don’t have a stovetop where you are staying. Hit me up if my brand of food will help nourish you right now and feel free to share. Plant based, nutrient dense, gluten free, etc. Hopefully it goes without saying, but free of course! I’ll be baking bread in the next couple days and will have some extra available.
