Being a therapist is getting harder. Cost of living is up 25% since 2019. In that same time, insurance reimbursement has gone up just 3–5%.
If you’re feeling squeezed, it’s because you are.
I know you are on this earth to help people improve their lives.
But big business interests exploit your desire.
So it’s time to take your power back—and look at different ways of working you can run alongside clinical work… or eventually replace it.
Ways that don’t burn you out, but do make you the income you deserve.
And let you keep doing what you love—helping people.
The best way is with a coaching, training, or consulting service.
Done right, it’s a high-integrity approach that gives you more income—and your clients deeper, more intensive support without you having to work every single hour of the day.
On Saturday at 11am ET / 10am CT / 9am MT / 8am PT I’m going live on YouTube, and I want you to be there. I’ll teach exactly how to structure, launch, and charge for a coaching, training, or consulting program.
And I’ll show you over 20 examples of therapists just like you who have done it.
This could be the start of a whole new career direction for you—one that helps you improve your own life while helping others, instead of helping others at your own expense.
It’s free to join. Just click this link to go to YouTube, subscribe, and hit “notify me” to get an alert before we go live:

AI sounds great when you're planning your coaching offer - but does it actually know what it's talking about?
When it comes to therapists, those who do the most work often make the least. It's time to change that.

Health insurance rates are increasing faster than the increase in the cost of living. Therapist out payments are increasing at a fraction of the cost of living. In real world terms, therapists have taken an effective 15-20% pay CUT since 2019.
Someone in the middle is pocketing the increase in premium costs, or sending it elsewhere. I suspect some is going to profits and (just a theory) a lot might actually be going to Ozempic instead of being proportionally applied to therapist outpayments.
The only way to break this cycle is to have at least one foot out of the insurance system, otherwise this increasing disparity is going to force more and more therapists to quit the profession altogether.
Take some time to digest the implications of this table and what it'll mean for your ability to support your family over the next decade. This trend is grim.
