As some of you already know, we at Dojo4 are building a mobile app that we’re calling DeathApp. Yes, for real! It’s a quiz-based death preparation, planning and awareness application. We’re creating a straightforward & engaging way to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about end-of-life options and how to prepare and plan for our own deaths (or that of a friend or family member). We’re excited about the quiz-based format as a way to make it easier for people create a sharable “death preferences plan” and learn more about ways engage with the finite nature each of our lives.
We’re starting by building a prototype we can use to test the concept with our first users. To get there, we’ve decided to raise a community investment round of $100k using Wefunder. It’s a little different than a crowdfunding campaign in that participants are actually investing in the project, rather than donating or pre-paying for the service. This way, our community can be early investors in what we aim to make a revenue-generating company that provides an important service. So nice to co-host an event with again. Along with and we talked about what’s so great about making our companies for . In the end, a lot of it is just about having heart.

Studies are showing that the more aware and prepared people are for their own deaths, the more likely they are to live engaged and joyful lives. This is what motivates us to create a tool to support that awareness and preparedness.
