Congratulations to Coy Decker for being the first Roots athlete to cross the 3,000 class attendance mark!
Coy gives us something we can all aspire to. It's the long game approach and perspective on how to build and maintain your health and fitness. It's built through an appreciation for athleticism and sport, showing up and doing the work day in and day out, and enjoying the ride!
And we couldn't be more proud to call Coy a Roots athlete.
Congrats Coy!!

🇺🇸Murph 2026🇺🇸
“In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan, June 28, 2005. This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it ‘Body Armor.’ From here on, it will be referred to as ‘Murph’ in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.”
Murph
For time:
Run 1 mile
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 squats
Run 1 mile
Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. If you’ve got a 20-lb vest or body armor, wear it.
Every year on Memorial Day, thousands of people around the world walk into a CrossFit gym and take on one of CrossFit’s most meaningful traditions: Murph.
Murph is more than a workout; it’s a tribute, a test of grit, and a shared act of remembrance.
This video explores the story behind the legendary Hero workout, from the life and sacrifice of Lt. Michael Murphy to how a brutally simple workout evolved into a global event uniting athletes, military members, first responders, and everyday people across continents.
Hear why people take on Murph year after year: to honor the fallen, to challenge themselves, to suffer alongside their community, and to remember that freedom is never free.
Whether it’s your first Murph or a tradition etched into your life, the workout is bigger than fitness. Somewhere between the first mile and the final rep, Murph reminds people what they’re capable of and who they’re doing it for.
This is the story of how one workout became a worldwide ritual of sacrifice, gratitude, and human connection.
Join the Murph Challenge today. Comment MURPH and registration link will be sent straight to your DMs.

We train for life and that includes sport. At the top of the CrossFit pyramid we find Sport - the ability to express our athleticism and skill in a competitive and ruled environment. Way to go Melani!

"That's it?"
Today's workout is:
For Time
100/80 Calorie Air Bike
Understanding the CrossFit methodology means this workout makes perfect sense. We're not about your total caloric burn over an hour, day in day out slog fests, or trying to impress athletes with how much we can pack into an hour. We're about quality, power production, and training application over years. And vibes. Good vibes.
Hell yeah, Max!
