"Elastic Tempo" is my newest song — a blend of jazzy house grooves and experimental electronic textures. What began with deep bass, classic stabs, and funky piano chords evolved into a warped soundscape of slowed samples, tempo drops, and unexpected pauses. It eventually morphs into a techno-inspired finish. Best enjoyed on headphones or stereo for the full experience.

Felt Mallets" is a blend of improvised piano and a Jazz-EDM groove I started in 2020. Originally an experiment with new software instruments, it evolved into deep-house rhythms. Rediscovering the session later, I improvised piano melodies over electronic elements. Inspired by experimental Electronica producers, I used acoustic piano samples to create a unique sound, experimenting with techniques like manipulating high frequencies and parallel processing for added texture.

Moon Glow is a Funky-House Chillout track that has been evolving over several months. I've been experimenting with unconventional rhythmic elements and exploring new ways to enhance the texture of house chords. It's been quite a journey of trial and error, but through this process, I've learned valuable insights into the sonic possibilities and refining my production techniques.

Fiona Small, a multidisciplinary artist born in San Juan Island, Washington, discovered her creative passion at 11. After studying musical theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, she delved deeper into the arts during her six-year residency in Colorado. Fiona was recognized with Naropa University’s Rising Artist Award upon graduating with a BA in Music and a Minor in Performance in 2020. Her work explores multi-sensory experiences, neurodiversity, environmentalism, grief, contemporary clowning, and whimsy through vibrant collage and multimedia pieces.
