Be Center
Be Center in Boulder, CO, is a safe space to come home to yourself. Our goal is that you feel safe to go deep and find your inner clarity and insight.
Sometimes the body gives us clear patterns that we can see, feel, and gently shift in real time. Small awareness can create big changes in how we move, stand, and feel throughout the day.
This is the power of mindful observation and simple correction, no force, just awareness and ease.

Meet De West ✨
De West, C-IAYT, E-RYT, is a Certified Yoga Therapist, Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapist, and the founder of Be Center in Boulder, Colorado. With over 34 years of dedicated practice and teaching, De has developed a unique approach that combines yoga therapy with functional movement principles to support each individual body with care and intention.
Her journey into yoga therapy was deeply personal. After experiencing a serious biking accident that led to chronic pain, De discovered firsthand how therapeutic yoga could restore movement, function, and vitality when other approaches fell short. That experience became the foundation of her philosophy: healing begins when we stop forcing and start listening.
For over eight years, De worked alongside medical professionals in pain clinics, helping bridge the connection between mindful movement and integrative healing. Today, through Be Center, she continues to guide people back to themselves through gentle, nervous-system-informed movement that supports strength, ease, and connection.
Whether through live classes, private sessions, retreats, or workshops, her mission remains the same: helping people come home to their bodies with awareness and compassion.

🌿 Let go of what drained you this month
🌙 Choose one nourishing habit for next month
✨ Begin the week with breath, not rush
New months don’t need pressure, they need intention.

You do not need to maximize every weekend.
Sometimes the most healing choice is to slow down enough to hear yourself again.
Sometimes the body responds best when we stop trying so hard.
By allowing the p***c bone to soften downward and the thighs to move gently back, the body can naturally organize and support itself without gripping or force. Often, the deeper stabilizing muscles respond more effectively through ease and alignment than through deliberate effort.
This is the beauty of mindful movement: less pushing, more listening. When the body feels supported, intelligent activation can arise naturally.

Fatigue is not always about sleep. Sometimes it’s emotional and nervous system exhaustion.
🌿 Constant alertness drains energy
🌙 Mental load creates hidden fatigue
✨ Deep rest includes stillness, support, and safety
Rest is more than sleeping, it’s feeling held.

Inner calm is not something you wait to feel.
It’s something you build through repeated supportive choices.
The pelvic floor is often misunderstood, but sometimes the simplest images help us understand the body more clearly.
Imagine it like a gentle blink or a flower softly opening and closing. Not gripping. Not forcing. Just a natural, responsive movement connected to breath, support, and ease.
When we approach the body with curiosity instead of pressure, awareness begins to replace tension. This is where more ease, connection, and healing can begin.

You don’t need a full routine to feel better. Try these small resets:
🌿 Take 5 slow breaths before checking your phone
🌙 Relax your shoulders every hour
✨ Pause for 60 seconds before your next task
Small moments of care create real change over time.

Self-care doesn’t need to be expensive, aesthetic, or time-consuming.
Sometimes five mindful minutes can be more healing than a plan you never follow.
