My goal is to share my favorite Colorado recs with you for hiking, camping, skiing, stays, dining, and outdoor adventures so you can save time planning and start enjoying all the beauty this state has to offer.

BOLDER BOULDER 10K π
still canβt get over how much fun the was yesterday! A month ago, I hoped to attempt a PR in this race. But I knew as the day came closer (and my bronchitis turned into pneumonia π€) that Iβd just be lucky to make it to the start line.
thankfully I felt much better on race day morning and surprised myself by being able to jog most of the race! I finished with a chip time of 1:18:04 - and got to check off eating an ice cream cone during a raceπ¦
Iβve got another race coming up very soon that Iβm excited to share more about - stay tuned!! πββοΈ

a month of movement at π§ββοΈ
highlights include my first ever climbing class (learned so much from .droz & the badass women in my top rope circle over our 6 weeks together!), climbing the cutest tree route for earth day, & an excuse to adventure over to the Golden gym this morning for my first meetup π so fun!!

BOULDER REZ HALF π what a blast!!
such a scenic & fun course at the boulder rez half marathon yesterday!! it was more trail than i realized and my watch clocked almost 600 ft of gain! i tried out a run/walk pacing strategy that worked very well for the first 8 miles, then switched it up the last 5 miles as it got hotter to get my HR under control and finish strong πββοΈ not a PR this time but my 5th fastest half - and Iβm proud I pushed myself to run hard! π

another training block comes to an end πββοΈ
Excited to run my 11th half marathon on Saturday - the Boulder Rez Half Marathon - which Iβve been looking forward to as itβs a relatively flat course for Boulder, less than a 10 minute drive away, & looking like high 40βs/low 50βs & overcast for race morning π
Iβm planning to race this a little more strategically using a 9:1 run/walk method & see if I can swing a PR if everything aligns π stay tuned & wish me luck!
