Happy belated new year from BVMA to you! 🥳 ✨If getting more involved in your community and/or practicing mutual aid are your goals for 2023, start here!✨ Thank you to all of our volunteers for coming through week after week, we easily distributed over 2,500 meals this year, along with other survival resources. We love our neighbors and our community so much, and we’ll keep fighting and caring for each other until we are all able to live with the dignity we deserve, especially our unhoused family. Shoot us a DM to get more involved!

Hi all! Unfortunately we are unable to make distribution happen today while we restock and recharge to be there for our neighbors. Please consider participating in Indigenous Peoples Day events instead.

Come out this weekend Sunday 6/13 to protest the City of Boulders treatment of the unhoused and the new police budget with us! There will be free burritos, pierogis, and music!
We will be hosting an (online) art market as well where local artists will be sharing their work to help fund BVMA! Artists attending the event will be selling art online through our stories! If you purchase a piece, you can pick it up in person from the artist at the event after ordering online!

To enter into our giveaway, Venmo at least $5 top and leave a name and a form of contact in the memo!

This is a Grey bloc event! Remember that wearing a mask is an act of love! Bring tents, propane, and sleeping bags if you can!
Also feel free to come with signs and banners!
This is a drug & alcohol free event so please be discreet or leave and come back if you need!

We're putting on an event this weekend! Come out and buy art to help fund BVMA and support the artists who work with us! This is also an open call to bring us your old camping gear and summer survival gear! From 4-8:30pm we have Grasping for Sparrows, Tonguebyte, Sunnnner, and Real Gongs (DJ) playing out back!
If you would like to sell art last minute, send us a DM!

With the help of @iamkaria (a very talented organizer and teacher) from @bouldercommunityfridge and literally hundreds of community members, we have pulled together a grocery delivery program for folks who want to stay home right now without using capitalist and exploitative companies such as Uber and Instacart. Our drivers will be compensated for expenses using Venmo donations. Feel free to request things that might be unconventional so long as we can pull it off. (Even cash assistance) We have received so much support so don't hesitate to ask for what you need. For the families of victims, we are here and prepared to crowdfund funeral costs, living expenses, and reparations from this community for the ways in which you have been not been kept safe, among other things. Do not hesitate to reach out.

The losses that we endured yesterday are immense and will be highly politicized. We will be taking some time before making succinct statements on the matter so as to allow those grieving the space to do so. Though we are giving ourselves the space to grieve and process, we are still police abolitionists and do not support the expansion of BPD nor increased funding for its endeavors. We take care of us.

Solidarity,
Murphy from BVMA
