Summer hair care tip you NEED if you swim ☀️🌊

If you’re in the pool, ocean, or lake all summer long, a swimmers shampoo is honestly a must — especially for blondes, brunettes with highlights, or anyone wanting to protect their hair color and condition 🙌

The Malibu C Swimmers Wellness Shampoo helps remove chlorine, salt water, minerals, and buildup that can leave hair feeling:
❌ Dry
❌ Brittle
❌ Tangled
❌ Dull
❌ Discolored or “green”

Why it matters:
Chlorine and salt water can strip moisture from the hair and cause major damage over time — especially on color-treated or lightened hair. Using a swimmers shampoo helps cleanse all of that buildup before it sits on the hair and causes breakage or discoloration ✨

How to use it:
☀️ Use after swimming or beach days
☀️ Lather well and focus on cleansing the scalp + mids/ends
☀️ Follow with a hydrating conditioner or mask
☀️ Perfect for kids, swimmers, vacation hair, and summer blondes

Healthy summer hair starts with removing what your hair doesn’t need 💛

Will be in the studio all season long! Come pick yours up at your next appointment or drop me a message so you can come by and grab some!

Summer hair tip ☀️🌊

If you’re spending time in pools or salt water this summer, protecting your hair BEFORE and AFTER swimming makes such a huge difference in preventing dryness, breakage, tangling, and color fading 🙌

BEFORE SWIMMING:
✨ Apply a hair oil or conditioner to your mids + ends before getting in the water
✨ This helps create a barrier on the hair and can help prevent chlorine and salt water from soaking deep into the hair cuticle
✨ Think of it as giving your hair a protective shield before exposure

AFTER SWIMMING:
🫧 Use a swimmers shampoo like Malibu C (which I carry in the studio!) to gently remove chlorine, salt, minerals, and buildup from the hair
🫧 Follow with a deep conditioning mask to replenish moisture and help combat dryness from sun + water exposure

Your summer hair will stay softer, healthier, shinier, and way less prone to damage 💛

Everything from your daily routine, your workout habits, water type, and how much time you actually have to style your hair at home play into what we should ACTUALLY be doing with your hair.

Sure trends are great but I have been doing this long enough now that- your lifestyle, your complexion and your actual hair color that we we are starting with play a MUCH bigger part in what we do with your hair than anything else.

Cause if you can’t style those trendy, thick straight across bangs everyday, why would we torture you?

If you just had a baby and you are trying to just get some sleep here and there, why would we cut your hair into a super short bob while you have to straighten it everyday cause it wants to flip out?

Why would we give you a ton of layers in your hair if you do CrossFit everyday and wanna make sure everything goes up in a ponytail as you sweat like your life depends on it?!

See, all these scenarios make perfect sense for us to keep these things in consideration because I want you to go home and ENJOY your hair, not struggle with it or ask, “why the hell did I do that?!” 🤦🏼‍♀️

Can’t wait to talk about this as your next appointment!

I’m not shaming anyone but I want each and every one of you to be well informed to have the happiest and healthiest hair you can while enjoying the fun of playing with it and styling it the way you want to.

Which one of these are you guilty of, if you don’t mind sharing with us?

Hot tools make our lives easier and things less difficult and when used properly, they are an asset, not something to be looked down upon.

I feel like some people come in and say they air dry their hair, like it’s a badge of honor. We have come such a long way in the color we use on people, products we use at home and the tools that are being produced that air drying is NOT an actual good thing all the time. I did a post awhile ago about why air drying is actually horrific for your scalp, maybe I’ll do another one here soon.

My point is- don’t be scuur’d, be informed and talk with your stylist about all this, they will guide you in the right direction.

Hope this was helpful! Save for later to come back to when needed.

Happy Mother’s Day to this incredible woman!

This woman has been through so much in her life and still manages to come out with a positive mind + outlook.

I love the way she raised me and my sister, how she allowed us to become the women we are today.

She managed to protect us during a very hard time in our lives and I will be forever grateful for her fight through it all.

No, our moms are never perfect but once you become an adult you understand that life is tough and we all can’t be perfect. I love her more for acknowledging it as well.

And I tell her this often but….thank you for being my mom, I wouldn’t want anyone else in the world to be in that role. I love you! 💕

Every single hairstylist is going to call this something different but the words are truly interchangeable. A toner, gloss, glaze are all the same thing, it’s just how you end up intending to use them that we might call them something different. It’s usually always a semi permanent color, that adds shine and does not damage your hair.

Read through the slides, let me know if this was helpful and if you are ever still unsure about if this is right for you, please reach out to me and we can discuss it through to make sure you are getting exactly what you need for your hair. 😊

Hi all!

Wanted to give you guys a bit of an update as we transition back into working again.
Recovery has been a bit of a roller coaster and I honestly have no clue how my body will react once I start back up.

I have made sure to do the best I can to respect my body as I start back in and the first few weeks are a very slow transition back into work but but there still might be hiccups.

I appreciate your understanding and patience during all this.

I am confidently booking new appointments into June and as I see how the next month goes, I’ll keep a waitlist of people that want to get in earlier and reach out once I feel like I can take on more.

For now, please email me at [email protected] or message me here
