After thoughtful conversations with community partners, the Washington Recovery Alliance has made the decision to postpone the Voices of Recovery Summit in Spokane until Spring 2027.

As communities across Eastern Washington continue responding to the devastating wildfires, we believe this is the right time to allow our partners and local leaders to focus on the immediate needs of their communities.

We remain committed to bringing the Voices of Recovery Summit to Spokane and look forward to welcoming everyone together in Spring 2027. Additional details will be shared in the coming months.

To our recovery communities across Eastern Washington: we are thinking of you. If your community has been impacted by the fires and you have updates, immediate needs, or opportunities for others to get involved, please reach out. We want to help amplify your message and connect recovery communities across Washington.

Thank you for your understanding, your resilience, and your continued support of one another. 💜

As wildfires continue to impact Spokane, members of our recovery community are finding ways to help one another.

Matthew Blatman aka , an artist in recovery, is using his artwork to support members of the Spokane recovery community impacted by the wildfires.

Through the RKVR Shop, Matthew is helping raise funds for people facing displacement, loss, and uncertainty during this ongoing crisis.

His work reflects the strength of recovery, the power of creativity, and the ways people care for one another during difficult moments.

If you're looking for a way to support the Spokane recovery community, consider purchasing Matthew's artwork or sharing this fundraiser with others. Every act of support helps strengthen a community working to recover together.

THIS is recovery in action. 💜

If you attended the 2026 King County Substance Use Recovery Conference, you may recognize Sully and Seth from the afternoon breakout session, Recovery Supports for Youth & Adults — a conversation highlighting the programs, people, and communities supporting recovery across different stages of life.

Sully’s journey from receiving support as a young person to becoming a Certified Peer Support Specialist is such a powerful full-circle example of what recovery community can make possible.

Take a moment to watch, hear Sully’s story, and learn more about the work happening through Bridges—Seattle Alternative Peer Group and Recovery High School. 💜
