Our Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our school community! Our Fall Festival truly depends on our amazing volunteers. If we don't have enough volunteers signed up by Tuesday, 10/21, we will need to cancel the event.

Right now, we are still in need of several volunteers and donations to make the event possible.

We are looking for help in the following areas:

🍬Candy Donations
🎁Non-Edible Item Donations (small toys, stickers, pencils, etc.)
🚗Trunk-or-Treat Vehicles (decorate your trunk and pass out treats!)
🎨Face Painting Station Volunteers
🎯Games for us to use during the event (corn hole, pumpkin bowling, ring toss, etc.)
🤝General Helpers
💙PTA Membership Table
🧩Sensory Support Area Helpers
🍿Concession Stand Helpers

PACE at Lockwood is a choice enrichment program offered to students in grades 1-5 that provides enriched educational experiences.

If you are interested in learning more about PACE, please attend our Information Night on October 14th at 7pm in the Lockwood Cafe. At Info Night you will learn more about the program, application process and deadlines. It is an in person only event, there is no zoom option. No preregistration is required, so please just join us on the day to find out if our program is the right fit for your family.

Outdoor Education is tomorrow! Weather looks good--partly sunny skies with temps ranging from low to high 60s for most of the day. Here is the list of items to pack for your student(s) :
-Small backpack or daypack that your child can carry with them if needed
-Disposable lunch AND 2-3 snacks
-Water Bottle
-Layered, weather appropriate clothing including sweatshirts,
-If needed: Jackets, raincoats or ponchos, hats & gloves.
-Closed-toed shoes – this is a REALLY important one! Students will be walking on trails, grass and beach so open-toed shoes will NOT work. Hiking boots or running shoes will work best.

Outdoor Ed will end at 3:50 pm and be followed by an all-PACE Family community event. Families can stay and enjoy the park for as long as they like.

Our Charleston Wrap fundraiser kicked off yesterday! With over 2,500 gift ideas – including holiday, birthday, hostess, and corporate gift ideas – there’s something for everyone. Don't forget to register your student online at www.registercw.com and help spread the word! Share our fundraiser through email, text, and social media with at least 10 friends and family. Remember: sharing is caring! The fundraiser ends on October 17th, so start sharing today!

School-wide Curriculum Night is tonight!

Specialist teachers will also be available to meet with families from 6:15 to 7:00 PM. Additionally, families of students in grades 2–5 will have 10 extra minutes built into their schedule to visit their child’s walk-to-math teacher.
